  • but still like both guys they r excellent boxers several times Nationals Champions n World Contenders in the Amateur Boxing

  • Jesse Magdaleno is a beast i trained at the same gym for 4 yrs i learned alot from his dad n brothers he beat rausheen anytime anywhere is now 7-0 pro hes older brother is a champ now rank 6

  • Warren won the first 2 rounds got tired and Jesse won the last round, very close fight

  • And for the person who says Rau'shee got robbed shut up. Dude was gettin tagged furiously. This fight was speed on speed. Warren like someone said is a Shane Mosley like fast brawler. He thinks he can just overhelm his opponent with his ridiculosley fast hands, but it didn't work this time. Magdaleno has fast hands too and nulified Warren's slightly faster hands. Look at the combo at 6:30 seconds.

  • Magdaleno's pretty damn fast himself.

  • who won warren or jesus???

  • @MyBoxer96 Jesus

  • Lolz no need to watch nOW :P

  • this guy is so fast that if you blink you will miss his combo's

  • usa boxing is definitely taking care of warren.....i know from good sources that they pay all his living expenses and theres also a rumor that they bought his family a 200k house to stay amateur and not turn pro after the 2008 olympics.....i agree with MGM tho that he may burn himself out...theres only so many fights a human can take amateur or pro

  • the guy in blue should be setting the pace. good fight regardless

  • RAUSHEE GOT TIRED

  • Warren is fast but he needs to be a little more calm. because a good counter puncher will pick him apart.

  • would be an exciting fighter to see on the pro circuit

  • cool. he had a hard time with that guy.

  • what a bad mofukcr.

  • Warren has style. Magdaleno has substance. There will be a great fight in the future with these two as pros.

  • the ring iz massive

  • @5TRYD4 not really :/

  • who won ?

  • magdeleno won

  • They allow very light use of vaseline, as to not make the punches slide off. From what I remember, a light coating could be used on the face before you enter the ring in the amateurs, but I'm not sure if you can use it between rounds. I've also seen it used lightly on the shoulders and arms - and the ref will tell your coach to wipe it off the body or face with a towel if there's too much.

  • raushe style is brawl he

is a fast brawler thats all

  • they are novice or open????

  • They are both open. Warren is a 2x Olympian and Magdaleno is a national champion.

  • one more question. do amateurs get belts when they become a champion?

  • Yes, they do get belts. But the belt is more of a trophy because you don't "put it up" every time you fight.

  • they didn't show the decision? how come amateurs have to wear tops?

  • They don't allow the use of grease or Vaseline in the amateurs so to protect the boxer from leather burn, they wear tops. Also allows the judges to easily identify who landed the punches - red or blue. There are talks of removing the jersey's though.

  • thanks dude. wait so about the belt, the champion gets trophies instead of belts?

  • No they get a belt. But I'm saying that it's not like a belt in the pros. It looks like a belt the pros wear, but it doesn't mean the same thing. Every time a pro fights after winning a world title belt, it's usually for the belt. When an amateur wins a belt, they don't make defenses of that belt.

  • oooh i see. i see. thanks. don't get annoyed, but let's go back to the shirt. which way is it going right now: shirt or no shirt?

  • Right now all amateur boxers are required to a wear a jersey and headgear when they box. But there have been discussions about removing the jersey and possibly even the headgear. But nothing serious has really been put forward so it's likely that the jersey and headgear will remain.

  • they DO allow vaseline

  • I think you can use it on your face but not the body.

  • a lil bit

  • your an idoit they use the vaseline so they puches slip off and they do in amature

  • warren should turn pro already,

hes got alot of ametuar experience

  • @UsaolympicBoxing yeah but the thing is, it's not that easy to turn pro

  • Dude, it's VERY easy to turn pro. I could turn YOU pro in a few days even if you've never boxed before. Boxing is the easiest sport to turn pro in, actually. Especially having the amateur background Rau'shee Warren has - any boxing manager or promoter would sign him immediately. It's just that he'd be able to sign a bigger pro deal if he wins an Olympic medal - especially gold.

  • one more question. do amateurs have belts when they're champions?

  • agreed, is he still sticking around for 2012? he'll be 25 by that time...thats still young but he'll have to move fast

  • who gives a crap if he was kod . amateurs is learning , so im sure he figured out y that happend

  • warren get out of the amatuers!

  • raushee is going to burn himself out in the ameteurs

  • For real

  • yea he gotta b careful

  • @MGMGrandWBC

Raushee must be getting looked after in the Amateurs thats why he is there alot of english and irish amateur boxers get more then £30,000 a year some of them thats more then most pros so why turn pro if everything is working in the Amateurs iam 22 with 26fights i got trials 4 pan american games next year but i still mite turn pro at 26 after i get my Degree at School so i would never Rush anybody 2go pro ..promoters managers etc are Snakes and its just business 4 them as usual

  • @MGMGrandWBC Y is he still a amateur fighter?

  • lol go pro!

  • i think warren was doin great until he pulled a de la hoya and decided to coast that last round

  • personally i think they both performed well and this is nuke's first time at 119lbs it was a close bout jesus did what he needed to do to win though great performance on both parts

  • LOL HE WASNT KO'd quit spreadin shit spice faggot 479

  • Jessie is a great boxer, he kicked my ass effortlessly at Barry's Boxing Gym

  • lol he needs to turn pro.. we got a new olympian at 119..

and many more great fighters coming up from the jrs

  • man raushee warren needs to stop playin wit it and go pro.

  • You know nothing.

  • man!!!! 22 years old still amatuer with more than 200 fights and waitin till you 26 for the next olympics, fuck that! your at the age where your a man and need to provide for yourself, he can be earning money and knocking out all these fighters wit no talent in his division, i know way more bout boxing then you do. shit after the 1st olmpics he had he should have turned pro, he would have had a long great pro career probably already been champion.

  • he was koed in last fight so theres no rush togo pro

  • damn! he was! this guy is to fast to even get touched. did he get knocked out bad or was just a stoppage.

  • he didnt get ko'd

  • Magdaleno almost knocked him out!

  • nice hope to see the olympic tryouts for 2012 when they happen cuz US better come home with at least 3 gold metals

  • 3? i'm just hoping for 1. i doubt they'll get 3.

  • ill make sure ill bring back one gold medal, im 15 gunna turn 16 this year so i still cant compete in the open division though, ill shine in 2011

  • I wonder why Raushee Warren is still fighting as an Amateur I'm guessing he has well over 100 Amateur bouts. By the time the dude turns pro he might have burned himself out as an Amateur.

  • Comment removed

  • he's actually helping amateur boxing by continuing to fight as an amateur, the problem with USA boxing is once a fighter goes to the olympics or gets a medal he turns pro.. if they stayed amateur, the US could put together better teams as well as dominate more.

  • I think its a testament too the old days when fighters had strong amateur Backgrounds and the Olympics meant something. However now its ruined by that pitty pat point system. I think with Warren already fighting in two Olympics 04 and 08 he might be burning himslef out before a pro career starts.

  • dats what u suppose to do after the olympics go pro if u know u got what it take to be a pro after the olympics why not go pro

  • that's one of the reasons the US hasn't got a gold medal in so long, amateurs are turning pro as quickly as possible.
