Felix pitched 80+ innings at 19 and he's an ace the Yankees have desperately inquired about, I say call up Banuelos, he's our undiscovered Felix. The only thing the Yankees are doing now is keeping him in the minors for "innings?" Why to prevent injury? There's just as much chance to get injured in the minors as in the majors so call this guy up, what's the risk?
@GellePanda its the amount of innings. in the minors wins and loses dont really matter, especially in AA, so if its a tight ballgame and he has pitched 6 he is done. whereas in the bigs they are only concerned with Wins and can't monitor his workload without some detriment to the teams wins and losses
this guy isn't needed any more ow that the Yanks have Pedro Feliciano. Having said that, it's not the best idea to call me "stupid" i've been watching baseball and the Yanks since 1964 how about you?
@leadmountain1960 what do you mean he's not needed? The kid is in AA it's not like he'll even sniff the majors in 2011. And he's a starter not a lefty specialist like Feliciano. That signing has literally no effect on Banuelos. That has to be the dumbest comment i've ever read. JakeBank is absolutely correct.
@leadmountain1960 If you've been watching it since 1964 you haven't paid much attention. I'm sure I'll forget more about baseball and player development in my life than you'll ever know.
@leadmountain1960 how is a long left reliever more valuable than a starter? Youre basically saying we should turn this guy into Joba.. youre a moron hes going back to trenton and will be groomed into a starter.. he isn't even 20 years old yet
@leadmountain1960 So he can throw 40 innings this year? Stupid. You start him in AA and promote him to AAA later in the year so he can get his innings. He still has a lot of developing to do.
