Mercury was in the vaccines as it is the adjuvant, you need an adjuvant in a vaccine, as the immune system is lazy at the skin layer and it needs to be 'woken up' to recognise the part of the vaccine that the body wants to create an immune response too. all they did was swap mercury for another adjuvant like aluminium.

There was a study in Japan where they used vaccines with no mercury in them and followed it up over 20years, there was no statistically significant change in autism rates..

I agree that she is a total quack...Autism does NOT go away as she claims it does. However, that diet actually does help in some cases. I treat kids with autism. That diet can help MANAGE the symptoms, not make them entirely disappear. I love it: he recovered from autism, but still has auditory processing problems (and other issues that she mentioned on other occasions). I wonder if anyone ever really explained what autism actually is..how it is defined and diagnosed. She is so irresponsible.

I disagree. I don't see anything contradictory here. She's not saying kids shouldn't be vaccinated, she's saying we shouldn't give them so many vaccinations so quickly. And the doctor's response of "pick which disease you'd like your child to get" was self-serving, condescending, and completely unfair.

Try paying attention.

Thanks bpattullo for being a human! I'm so proud of Jenny McCarthy (speaking like I know her or something lol) for doing what she is doing. I think she is a warrior ready for battle - a war in which I totally support. We are a country now obsessed with medicine, and we are constantly sick. Go figure, right? Trying not to generalize, but its the pharmaceutical companies and physicians that get richer and richer the sicker we stay. I say boo to them.
