@zippanaut Locate the "audio" folder in the "install_theswan_mac" (if you are using mac) and just drag your own music and rename them as track02, track03, track04... etc.

@VALKYRIE620 this is something we are revising in v4 (it hasn't been released yet), but you should still be able to run it in the background with the protocol8 cheat.

@TheAdmirableAdmiral Apple don't make it easy to install programs on their systems so we just published the files in a .zip so Mac users can enjoy the sim while we try and find a better solution. I think the orientation might be windows only but you can press the [TILDE] key ~ during a system failure to failsafe (there is also a cheat that will do it too).

@Alixandah if you press enter anything other then the code "4 8 15 16 23 42" (including entering nothing), or enter cheats before you have activated them then you will get the LOST title.

no. completely wrong. the island when they first landed was actually in the same time zone as when they left. he could walk because the island is special, and so is he. the hatch doesn't push time back 108 minutes. it prevents electromagnetic energy contained. desmond was late pushing the button (ep live together die alone, system failure) and the energy wasn't contained, so it pulled the plane in. they went back in time from the orchard station and the wheel. i know my lost this season :)
Yes the swan was built to contain the energy but what application could you have with such energy?
The Orchid had a small incident with the energy from exotic matter. The Swan had an incident with it's energy too, was it built next to exotic matter? The Orchid's was built to manipulate time so what could you do with 30,000 times more power?
The show keeps playing with the themes of "lost time" and "making time". No evidence yet but it's something to keep in mind.
Anything technical can and will go wrong. If the station were un-manned, then nobody would know there was a problem until the world ended. There could be a more significant reason why and who pushes the button...
No one says it has to be unmanned, i'm just saying it would be automated. The Dharma inititiative obviously had island-wide networks, so they would have no trouble monitoring it. Its hard to think of a more significant reason for Dharma building the system, then preventing a massive EM storm from whatever device or natural force they have down there.

Yeah, they never really defined the significance of that number. Even though it basically had magical effects on Hurley's life. Another thing that's been pissing me off, is the Lost concept of time travel. "Lost" is a perfect description of it. At first I thought they were using a multiple universe/event horizon model, which works. Time travel to the past within a single, linear-time universe contradicts the laws of physics. It would cause matter and energy to pop in and out of existence.
All it just does is that the screen fills up with SystemFaliure and the clock shows up the glyphs. The only reason why he didint show it is because you cant type in ANYTHING during a Systemfaliure. He didnt fix it until v4.3
sorry but i have a problem with the simulator. my keyboard doesnt reakt, that means the tab,esc and end button works, but when i try to enter the numbers notheing happans.
A recent revision to the program created this fault. I am please to report this has now been corrected. The revised v2.4(beta) is avaliable for download now.
Have you considered adding a feature that tracks the longest you've gone without letting it count all the way down? Either as an individual thing in the program itself or have it post to a high score board on the website?
I did want to make the experience less repetitive and more challenging and enjoyable for players. So far this idea exists in the form of cycles -- in that the program keeps track of each cycle (108 to 0) and unlocks a new element (such as a lockdown) after you complete x amount of cycles.
An online scoreboard is defiantly something to consider in future development.

You've got to press the TAB key on your keyboard to show the timer. It should all be in the Orientation file that is included with the download.

very nice little program you've made. however, there's one fairly major bug i've noticed on your latest version (v2.4 Beta).
After I've entered the code, pressing Enter does absolutely nothing. It just keeps ticking, runs out and then does the whole System Failure thing.
