Lucifer was the name of the angel he is referred to as this in the old testament means morningstar, and the new testament has no Lucifer only a Satan reference. Logically we assume the two are the same. The lyrics alone until he says "So deny God's light and crush His skull wide open!" is a testament to one that was there, that "watched the angels weep" this is some powerful stuff no matter what you believe in. I see no problems with any religion listening to this music.

I.E. The Dragon Tiamat, most of Jewish demons are based on that Mythology.
Tiamat is in Sumerian Mythology a Dragon/Goddess of Primordial Chaos, and some people tie Sumerian Mythology with Satanism.

A "concept album" is one that tells a story, each song being a part of that story. I know plenty of "Christians" that'll watch films with elements of Satanism in the story, so an album is no different.

And I think everyone knows about the fall of Satan, how he was god's favored angel (actually, he was even one of the seven archangels), and then driven by either envy or pride, led a rebellion against god and lost, bing banished to the abyss by Michael.

The author was a complete catholic. Just cause there telling a story in the point of view of lucifer doesent mean satanism. The bible may make you think that. @SWOgottaGO paradise lost is complete fiction, there is a difference from the bibles version of satan and paradise lost, in paradise lost lucifer is described as an angel who wanted freedom, and defied gods rules, to live free, and in return he was sentenced to a life of solitude, which he gathered a rebelion of angels to create thier own domain.Thats the satan this song describes. Lucifer was the name of the angel he is referred to as this in the old testament means morningstar, and the new testament has no Lucifer only a Satan reference. Logically we assume the two are the same. The lyrics alone until he says "So deny God's light and crush His skull wide open!" is a testament to one that was there, that "watched the angels weep" this is some powerful stuff no matter what you believe in. I see no problems with any religion listening to this music.

The way I look at the bible is that it is a piece of literature, a work of art. I don't worship God, and nor do I sympathize Satan. But you have to admit, it does hold many epic tales, and many, many beautiful pieces of art in varying forms have been inspired by the Bible.
