I think it didn't make it in the album at that time because it didn't sound too alternative or grunge enough !
It wasn't a right choice for the early 90's!
It sounds more a late 70's and 80's rock song.
It is a good song !

@bassnebula93 According to Jeff Ament PJ had so many instrumentals that Ed could not write lyrics quickly enough, so some songs were left as instrumentals. If you happen to find the Stone Gossard demos there is @ least one of them that never became a song with lyrics.
