  • I bought this album following Alice Cooper's advice in the '70s... At that time, I was disapointed. Years later I would come to admire and appreciate it. Isn't that a little bit what the genius behind Eno is all about ?

  • A song dedicated to water play...nice....

  • one of the most prolific artists ever, his back-catalogue must be massivly massive.

  • Damn. I thought the title was referring to a hot tub or bath : )

  • stop wars

  • I picture the end of the world, especially when the lyrics start. Also, being rudimentary is what makes this song so great. It doesn't follow the rules that 99% of songs seem to. It's not by any means my favorite Eno song but I would want it playing if the plane I was in was heading right into a mountain.

  • genius

  • Cool your jets, man

  • very anthem-like for the glam generation... in it's death throes....

  • This track has such a brilliant long intro - the only song that beats it on intro length is Dead Souls by Joy Division. I love them both.

  • wow. how can someone even begin to conceive a song like this.

  • god i love the beginning!!!!

  • this one is legend. as soon as i started listening to it i fell in love with it :)

  • I know it's hip to say that this is awesome, but it's painfully rudimentary.

  • @itowedin Painfully rudimentary, yes. Undeniably badass, also yes.

  • @OZK033 You only traverse back the ominous drapery of shame and compromise with your retort. I suspect, yet somewhat hope will hear back from you. Practice makes perfect.

  • I kept waiting for it to get good... :(

  • I don't think enough credit's being given to Robert Fripp, who played that AMAZING guitar for this track

  • IWe I first heard this in what, 1974? everything else became irrellevant. The layers and layers of sound: drums rising in the background as the bells fade, guitars coming forward, horns rise as synth ebbs, vocals as instrumentation, just amazing. The man was and is a genius.

  • probably my favorite eno song - beautiful , powerful, simple - one of those songs that just exudes the flavor of a time - kind of like the "to sir with love" of the glam era - if you know what i mean - not the content - the feeling- the place it hits you

  • if you like this even a little bit then you gotta listening to taking tiger mounting...... unbeleevabbbly... pss Brian Eno wrote the start up Windows thing wqhen you open up the poota (100% true) marqdarq xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • There's a cover of this by the Canadian group Phonocomb (a spin off from Shadowy Men on A Shadowy Planet). Not on youtube - I may need to rectify that.

  • HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD THIS BEFORE? This is excellent.

  • I love the album, had no idea how many peeps this guy has worked with. Nice one!

  • gorgeous!

  • my elder brother bought this album and when he wasnt home i would play it for my friends . they freaked it was funny to watch after all they were into the beach boys and all the other bullshit pop music.

  • i've just realized that with the exception of tom waits, practically every musical influence in my life has a direct or indirect link with eno. maybe he is God. mmmmm. and tom waits is the devil. that makes sense!

  • @phlosstin but there ain't no devil, there's just God when he's drunk

  • @TimmyWing touche. ;0)

  • the title is about taking a pee. look at the title cover, the female in the playing card says (or rather shows) it all. amen

  • "Here Come the Warm Jets" and "The Paw Paw Negro Blowtorch" is there a similarity? We got warm jets and Negroes with blowtorches. Or maybe the Negroes are flying the warm jets. Maybe the jets (being warm) are like the blowtorches. Oh man, let me try to figure this out. Where's my bong??

  • @duf101101 or maybe the negro's are fly the warm jet-paws witch have jets witch look like torches.?

  • 3 DISLIKES = CUNTS

  • Very cool video production for an experimental rock song, although I would have liked to have seen more variety in the type of jets.

  • It just sounds like humans. It's depressing in a way, almost haunting. This melody pretty much sums up living as a human being.

  • "Eno is Not God" - Lydia Lunch 1979 or 1980

  • @runway27r "But they are on a first name basis." Steve O'Rourke, 1975.

  • Amazing song.

  • I played this for my son when he was 9, and he said, "Dad, this is the greatest song ever." If Eno was searching for the primal soundtrack of our brains, I'd say he came very close.

  • @weaseldragon It's true. I listened to this album when it came out on a tab of the old-school Timothy Leary LSD - I think the combo rebooted my DNA with a MAJOR upgrade!

  • @weaseldragon your 9 year old son eh ?? hmmm does he also tell you what clothes to wear?

  • @jsilence418 What's your point?

  • @weaseldragon The listening taste and experience of a 9 year old is of no consequence to me, he could also listen to innocuous pap! it's only because he is your kid and i don't give a crap what your son listens to ! what else do you consult him on? major purchases? when you and the wife have sex? who fucking cares ! that is my point !

  • @jsilence418 You cared enough to write me two replies.

  • @weaseldragon one was a response to an inane comment ,the other was an answer to a direct question !

  • @weaseldragon You have actually answered me twice, or do you want to consult your 9 year old son on that?

  • @jsilence418 fuck you.. scumbag.

  • Comment removed

  • @backsliderr back slider lol I bet you are ! i bet you felt your dad's warm jets , sliding down your back and legs when he pulled out of your ass!

  • @jsilence418 lol he's owned, good answer ! love this song!

  • @weaseldragon That's a very nice story. The world is indeed a much better place because Eno and his music exist. I personally need a dose of Eno every day in order to keep my brain cells and synapses in good shape.

  • Uncle Janus Say's YES

  • Owlsy5...For yr information...it is about "pee"...On Roxy's 1972 tour of USA, Eno discovered a new found prediliction for "golden showers" at sex parties..Of course you know that Eno was a world famous Horn Dog!

    You owe Hunchbunker an apology!

  • @clive66swimworldwide Apparently it was a joke. He has stated since it was simply a reference to the sound he created for this track.

  • @Patavinity

For me is a sad song. Never thought it was about pissing. I really can't feel and understand what many people say here.

  • @dancing0being "Here Come the Warm Jets" is slang for taking a leak - Cockney, I believe. Think about it a moment, and you'll see the logic.

  • @NickJones55

Yes, but could mean many other things too. What makes music good is the thousands of ways you can feel it (the same track). For me, it is the main test for music to like it.

    I am not piss obsessive.

  • Thats some of the most coolest. . .

  • huneybunker - not, not pee, it means, come on...try again veggie girl...how about pea brain? you silly twit.

  • Fantastic album, at least 30 years ahead of its' time, love it to death!, baby's still on fire!

  • thanks! nice job. i'm digging this.

  • Oh, how I love to bathe in this glorious, golden fuzz!

  • Love this tune_^

  • i just made the pool even warmer...

  • this apocalyptic video fits perfect with the song

  • @hunchybunker Actually it refered to the sound of the guitar initially but Eno liked that it doubled as that. If you look close enough at the cover you`ll see a playing card with a girl urinating.

  • @dropd26 - so baby's on fire then put herself out with the warm jets? hey ya never know with brain eno.

  • @owlsley5

    LOL xD

  • fav fav fav

  • Oooh....the joys of multitracking,warm satisfaction T©ÐA¥

  • "We're all on our own and there's nowhere to pee"... Yes, there is a woman tinkling on the ground on the playing card on the mantel on the cover of this, Eno's first album (and what a grand debut it is). Oh cheeky cheeky. oh naughty sneaky. .. Eno is classy, but he also had and has a sense of humor.

  • I've had his albums for years now. Although I particularly enjoy his ambient stuff, I'm still trying to figure out what's supposed to be so fantastic about his pop stuff. I just don't get it. I think it's pretty annoying, boring, and his singing sucks.

  • @pazzensutra

You will never "understand" his pop-rock material. You got to live it. You just never lived this stuff.

  • @dancing0being lol! his pop stuff is hilarious - the best eno was so good because he never claimed to be a musician - he just put sounds together, in the way a tinker makes a collage. ended up blasting all those "professionals" with simplicity and a wee bit imagination...

  • @craigleithdavid

I completely understand what you say and feel. Eno said that a person that plays an instrument is not a musician and put the tombstone in "pros". Completely agree.

My favorite Eno album is "On Land (1982)". But i like very much his first pop albums. I guess you don't like pop and rock music much. Someone could say all pop music is hilarious. Maybe looks a bit different than Beethoven.

  • @pazzensutra - you are right - you DON'T GET IT! so 4get it.

  • Jizz.

  • I like to imagine this song was playing when that Heaven's Gate cult drank the poisoned kool-aid and joined their alien brethren in the hereafter.

  • This really sounds like an aeroplane warming up. The title is exact

It is strong, loud, warm, lovely

  • brian does pop?
