Yes, there is a woman tinkling on the ground on the playing card on the mantel on the cover of this, Eno's first album (and what a grand debut it is). Oh cheeky cheeky. oh naughty sneaky. .. Eno is classy, but he also had and has a sense of humor.
I've had his albums for years now. Although I particularly enjoy his ambient stuff, I'm still trying to figure out what's supposed to be so fantastic about his pop stuff. I just don't get it. I think it's pretty annoying, boring, and his singing sucks.
@dancing0being lol! his pop stuff is hilarious - the best eno was so good because he never claimed to be a musician - he just put sounds together, in the way a tinker makes a collage. ended up blasting all those "professionals" with simplicity and a wee bit imagination...
I completely understand what you say and feel. Eno said that a person that plays an instrument is not a musician and put the tombstone in "pros". Completely agree.
My favorite Eno album is "On Land (1982)". But i like very much his first pop albums. I guess you don't like pop and rock music much. Someone could say all pop music is hilarious. Maybe looks a bit different than Beethoven.

@hunchybunker Actually it refered to the sound of the guitar initially but Eno liked that it doubled as that. If you look close enough at the cover you`ll see a playing card with a girl urinating.

Yes, there is a woman tinkling on the ground on the playing card on the mantel on the cover of this, Eno's first album (and what a grand debut it is). Oh cheeky cheeky. oh naughty sneaky. .. Eno is classy, but he also had and has a sense of humor.

I've had his albums for years now. Although I particularly enjoy his ambient stuff, I'm still trying to figure out what's supposed to be so fantastic about his pop stuff. I just don't get it. I think it's pretty annoying, boring, and his singing sucks.

@dancing0being lol! his pop stuff is hilarious - the best eno was so good because he never claimed to be a musician - he just put sounds together, in the way a tinker makes a collage. ended up blasting all those "professionals" with simplicity and a wee bit imagination...

I completely understand what you say and feel. Eno said that a person that plays an instrument is not a musician and put the tombstone in "pros". Completely agree.
My favorite Eno album is "On Land (1982)". But i like very much his first pop albums. I guess you don't like pop and rock music much. Someone could say all pop music is hilarious. Maybe looks a bit different than Beethoven.
