by 18s and 16s...i assume youre talking about aussie skiffs....we dont get those in the US. i was first introduced to racing sailboats after my dad did the whitbread race in 82 on the FCF Challenger,from then ive won numerous championships on everything smaller than 40 feet,melges worlds,been there done that,farr 40s,been there done that...bout 10 key west race weeks,been there done that,lipton cups,do you know that trophy...makes the americas cup look young,been there,won that.

hell...even had Dennis Conner bring my crew chili. hes a really good cook...and he drinks a ton...kind of a dick though. by the way...i used to do nitro rc...now do electric...props on your car but speed the videos up...thats all i was saying

not often enough when i was young growing up...those skiffs like the 49r and 29r and the aussies didnt make there way here till i was out of dingys. international 14s yeah but not in san diego. not windy enough for em. hell...we just got moths. what a trip

They've been in SF since the early 80's in varrying fleet sizes. The 49 & 29 are Aussie skiffs also

my bro and i did laser 2s mostly in the mid 80s...skiffs were here...just not much for 10-15 year olds. oh well. it seems we both know what we're talking about. under current ownership...the j 125 in this vid has done 25.2 knots. bit quicker than a dog can swim haha

A bit quicker, although my dog has webbed feet so he's pretty quick! Is the 25.2 down a wave or averaged over a distance? I've been on Xena/AAPT doing >28 constant with 30+ surfs

that was topped out...probably ave was 18-20. theres lots out there thats faster, but for J boat productions...this is their fastest boat. for the money and the lenght and that its bout 10 years old...she moves pretty good. we going to start sailing one of the new melges 20s here pretty soon...they faster than the 24 off the wind
