I don't say this sucks, but this is Rock, not Heavy Metal music. Same thing for Diamond Head, Tank, Tygers Of Pan Tang and Saxon.

Just compare these bands with band which created Heavy Metal music - Black Sabbath.

Black Sabbath and bands like them are HEAVY.

I loved "30 Pieces of Silver". I think I bought the single for about 30p in York a long, long time ago. Can't remember the B-side. The guitar work on the album was superb. Some of the lyrics were a bit ropey though

My favorite Praying Mantis song. If I remember correctly this was on the Cheated gatefold double single. Then later put on the re-issued CD of Time Tells No Lies as a bonus track. CLASSIC!

Of course not! It is no-one else than Tino Troy, the guitarist and the leader of the band.

All that Di'Anno has done with Mantis were three Japanese gigs in 1990, one of which was recorded and released as "Live at Last".

One of the greatest bands of the late 70's and 80's. Also one of those well-kept secrets. Those who really knew rock - knew Praying Mantis, the others - well there are plenty who pretended. This was one of the all-time classic albums - for those lucky few who found them.

Also the multi-voice boy band rock band style was apparently not encouraging but i don't know why

Excellent indeed, one of their best from the 80's and even with a motive parroted later by Maiden for 2 Minutes to Midnight... It's a real SHAME it didn't originally appear on Time Tells No Lies.
