Definitely pilot error. Of course he didn't have enough altitude to be turning so tightly, but the fatal error was that he was so deep in his right brake. Judging by the motion of the pilot I think if you could see his wing you would probably see that he put it into the beginning of a spin.

PILOT FAULT: Failure to choose proper and safe flight path. Failure to choose stronger motor. Failure to fly straight and away from obstacles. For a shredder, it needs to be more powerful, have sharper blades, or something. One little wing in its craw and it kills the motor.
It SOUNDS like he got off the throttle, maybe didn't account for local breeze? Torque turn him? I dunno.. Stupid though, he SHOULD have kept flying straight if he could have. At LEAST stay away from others and their wings if you have to come down the hard way!
