  • wow i have a problem with the left conductor too. it likes to pretend that its being pushed down to the left or right but its really not.

why did they choose to make the conductor like this? cus the ds one is seperated and easier to find the button layout to fix them.

  • aaa my right button keep pressing it self......anyway to fix it??

  • How does the analog start drifting so can avoid it

  • the only button for me that dont work is the right button -.- any way to fix it?

  • Open it up, look at the connector under the screen where the D PAD circuit connects. Either the circuit/cable is not plugged in correctly or there's a split in the fine plastic circuit, or the connector where the cable plugs in is no longer soldered to the board. Will take about 30 mins to fix by someone who knows about electronics.

  • Its cause the buttons sometimes don't touch the D-pad, so put in your faceplate and tighten your screws (be careful not to strip them!!!!!!). When the psp's faceplate is tightly attached to the psp, then it should be working fine :D

  • same problem but i dropped mine and it doesnt respond even the buttons except only in recovery mode

  • Its static electricity. You should a grounded your self before taking off the faceplate. Sometimes it will go away sometimes it wont.

  • your lcd bracket is not put in place correctly...i had the same problem but when i took the bracket off and placed the housing back the right d pad worked.... i keep playing with the bracket and finally made it work ... its tricky but try loosing the bracket screws the gently tighten the screws the it should work fine

  • i have the smae problem exapt my left button keeps getting pressed by it's self

  • @comethehackdown same with mines im not ven pressing it and its moving

  • put rubbing alchohal on a few cew tips around 4 then use each one on each dpad bit then you let it dry then this is important put the face plate bake on and screw it on as tight as you can without striping the screw if it doesnt work leave a comment on my account

  • Ahh geeez poor little faggotry POS gaming unit wont work what ever will you do with your saturday nights now.

  • This is funny to me because shortly after posting this video I realized the PSP is, in fact, a terrible gaming device, media device, and web browser.

My phone does web better, my Cowon A3 does media better, and all mobile gaming is shit.

  • @hglazmv2 You cant play Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on your phone, you flaming homosexual

  • @hglazmv2 ye but thats 200 bucks right there

  • @370046Byakuya

I actually got it used for about $10, so no loss.

    @cloudstrife1256

Because at the same, I wanted my $15 investment to work.

  • @hglazmv2 That's pretty bold statement. If you don't like it, then why bother posting a youtube vid?

  • @ogdemigod Well said, by the demigod of homosexuality.

  • there is two tabs that come off the edge of the d pad the hardware part those two pads go into two slits on the side of the metal side of the psp screen when putting the hard ware part of the psp's d pad make sure those parts fit because that raises the pad and then it works

  • I tried to install a custom faceplate, and my DPad now will get stuck in the up position randomly... :(

  • my right doesn't even work when the faceplate is on :( I'm sad

  • my right dpad broke when u go left it auto mattically go to the right again

  • mines does 2 the exact same thing

  • SAME!

  • my upper d pad key isnt working

and my start button isnt working either

  • my upper d-pad sems to get stuck, so Io press down and it goes straight back up again. Weird, and annoying.

  • SAME!!!

  • hapened to me too

  • maybe it's because you're a faggot

  • What the fuck does that have to do with anything? DOUCHE...

  • Because you're a faggot.

  • You don't even know me... <_<

  • @hglazmv2 DOHOHOHOOHHOHOHO

  • @mrstone56 lolol

  • My left d pad button is starting to drag me left on games sometimes, same for my anolog stick. ME TOO! do i need too take the front out?

  • u need to put more pressure on it

  • I have the the same prob. After i fixed the power button and put the face plate back on the d pad wont move right ?? How do i fix it. After having to fix my psp so often i have to say the psp is a pice of fuckin SHIT. LCD first, ANOLOG STICK second, POWER SWITCH third, and now the D PAD. SONY PSP SUCKS.

  • I am in need of help! my d-pad is possessed or something, when i turn on my psp the d-pad works perfectly, but after a few secs the d-pad automatically locks on the down button and it is extremely difficult to move up and the left and right buttons have no function at all.PLEASE HELP!!!

  • My left d pad button is starting to drag me left on games sometimes, same for my anolog stick. What can I do, I'm scared to take the front off and clean it. Some peoples d pads and buttons have stopped working after they have taken there front off!

  • The problem is occurring because you are just placing the faceplate on the PSP, then trying the buttons. As you can see, they are trying to work but not fully functioning.

You need to screw the faceplate back onto the PSP. Screw in all 5 screws and make sure they are moderately tight. That should work. If it still doesn't work, look around the seam of the faceplate and make sure it's on completely. Like make sure there aren't any gaps between the plate and the PSP.

  • you have to screw in more, meaning tighten your screwing but dont over do it

  • i got the same problem but i think mine has some junk that prevents it from pressin(yup)

  • same here! i cant figure it out no matter how i put it back on the right button wont work.

  • What you guys need is something like a carton shaped like the D-pad and stick it behind the D-pad and inside the rubber. It will add extra pressure meaning that you can have fun again. I did it to mine well not yet but im going to try since mine needs pressure in all buttons.

  • i just got a broken psp from my freind any 1 now if i will need a whole new mottherboard or wat i dont now i have took it apart and cant see any thing wrong he got deodorant in the d-pad

  • same my right key wont work either

  • lol. are u serious?
