  • Ahhhh My GOD! why he left so soon, there isn't no one like him,so beautifyllovely, handsome, a straordinay voice... I love Him wiht all my suol, And every day i can't stop to hear his song.Thank you.

  • @ydentjes AMEN ydentjes, I agree with you !! There are NO bad pictures of ELVIS anywhere, especially if you look at him from the inside, ELVIS had a heart of GOLD !! ELVIS, in my heart and always on my mind !!

  • @Cindy8789 Thanks Cindy.

As I stated before, every picture of Elvis is special to me, no matter how he looks. Ofcourse he didn't look his best in some pictures, we don't either. It just proofs that Elvis was human, just like all of us. If we are ashamed of these pictures we are ashamed of Elvis in this period of his life. And I, for one, am never ashamed of Elvis, no matter how he looked or what he did.

  • The video is more than fine. the pictures are the man and if anyone knew of and respected Elvis, they'd know that was all he aspired to be. Not a Big man. just a MAN.

    Well done.

  • the camera cant lie , he looks just fine to me

  • I used to listen to Roger sing this many many times. But when I heard Elvis (and he could sing the Memphis phone book and I'd like it) I liked Elvis version best. No offense to Roger - he did a great job

  • don't get mad i'm a elvis fan but roger whittaker has the best verson of this song

  • @fish1648 i agree, this is great and i luv elvis, but roger is a better version

  • I was lucky enough to see Elvis in 57, and at the Capitol Center in D.C in 77 just before he died. I agree he was a beautiful man. I'm a guy and not gay. Just thought he was awesome. Especially the "Aloha from Hawaii" concert in 73. It was viewed by 1.5 (B)illion people... that was 25% of the worlds population at the time. WOW.

  • Elvis...sadly missed...unforgettable...forever loved...

  • Plenty of pictures here i've never seen.....great great job!

  • AMEI AS FOTOS ...ALIÁS AS FOTOS DELE ÚLTIMAS OLHAR LINDO PORÉM DE QUEM PEDIA SOCORRO ........ E NINGUÉM LA PERTO VIU ISSO . E AINDA ... ELE SOFRIA DE GLAUCOMA 1ºGRAU .. POR ISSO OS ÓCULOS ... ELVIS NÃO TEV E NEM UMA FOTO RUIM ... APENAS TRISTE E REAÇÕES MEDICAMENTOSAS . ELVIS É LINDO DE QUALQUER JEITO . EU AMO AMO AMO AMO ETERNAMENTE !! I LOVE LOVE LOVE FOREVER ELVIS PRESLEY!! OUÇO-O TODOS OS DIAS E OUVIREI SEMPRE !!ELVIS ETERNO !! I LOVE FOREVER!! UMA FÃ NO BRASIL !!

  • @eneri443 concordo plenamente com vc!!

  • @ydentjes Sorry, but yes, there are some bad pictures of Elvis that aren't flattering in the least. I use to think there wasn't a bad picture of him either, but there are. Some pretty awful ones during the last few years of his short life when he was obviously a sick man needing to be in a hospital rather than on a stage. On a good note, there are many thousands that are excellent, beautiful, and show the true beauty of this man. Thankfully, there are many more of them than the bad ones.

  • @ydentjes Appreciate your response. I've had access to hundreds of thousands of pictures of Elvis over the years. There's more I still haven't seen. Also saw him in Vegas 69-76. I went through and picked the bad ones. They are unflattering and I don't think he would be too proud. I know you mean no harm. Just take more time with your selections in the future, please. Your video itself of this song is the best here, but some pictures are wrong. 8 29 30 34 37 44 232 237 241 246 318 322 .

  • @keetonplace

I used these pictures because they are rare. And maybe it's me but I still think Elvis looks great in these pictures you mentionend except for 232 and 246, but still, it's Elvis and even if he didn't look to healthy they are still special to me.

  • Long live the KING

  • Elvis ...no one has come close to replacing you and your great talent.

thanks for posting his version of The Last Farewell.

  • Elvis=best singer of all times

  • I had always disliked England for its historic greed and all the evil it has done in past, until I listened to this.

Unbelievable what real and pure art can achieve.

  • @Mehranrokh Why have you disliked England? Every Country is greedy.....our Masters where just better at it and our soldiers better at winning. The ordinary person did not benefit.

  • @s13hgp Yeah, I guess it is very idiotic to dislike a whole nation.

  • pls help me to understand this (not a mother tongue)... by the wicked storm on the seas he understands that the mist (means cow crap in German lol ) of England is as beautiful as the sunshine in America ? is he talking about the second world war ? i mean, as the alien hunter that i am i know that England and America plan this New World Order shit together. So, tho i really like this song i am a bit disappointed because i know he supported Kennedy and was no brainwashed american zombie. pity

  • I love him, he's the most beautiful man ever born, but it's no wonder he burnt out. There are so many wonderful photos of him, it must have been so hard for him. He must have felt like, shall we say, public property, like no one before him. Where does being public property stop and being a man start?

  • Very nice!

    Keep the good work up!

  • Actions Speak Louder then Words.

  • Great voice ever...

    Love you big E

  • He was the king. Cant be better than this :)

  • Ya gotta admit...the guy had some of the most recognized 'pipes' ever. When you hear his voice, no matter what he was singing, you knew it was Elvis.

  • nobody has a voice as Elvis had now it for god to hear for ever

  • Great acoustic Guitar

  • to all the haters shut the hell up Elvis was the greatest show man on the planet so lay off if u don't like this kiss my ass!!!!!!

  • @iditarod9

You are right when you say that Elvis slowly killed himself, no doubt about that. But, he didn't do drugs as in mariuana and such, he was hooked on medications. That doesn't makes it less worse though. And about his eating habits...he always eat a lot, his whole life, not only the last few years. And if that's the way he choosed to live and die, who are we to judge him, he wasn't perfect, nor are we.

But onless what he did to his body, his voice never left him, not even in the end.

  • @ydentjes ) Everybody is "judged" in life by others regardless of the circumstances and especially entertainers who have the distinction of being placed upon a pedestal by fans who are totally dismayed when that entertainer turns out to be grossly flawed. However, most fans refuse to let go of that false image they hold of their idol and get a life of their own.

  • the king elvis

  • 'king El.

  • In this so called liberated time, we can like dislike hurt, or enjoy music. this is one to treasure.

  • God, everytime I look at his wonderfully handsome face and listen to that beautiful voice I want to cry, why did you go and leave us so early on in your life. You were and still are loved by so many all around the world, god bless you and thank you for all the great times I have listening to your songs and looking into your most handsome face. Love and miss you always. x

  • @rosechris48 that's what exactly what i feel everytime i am waching and listening to him/his songs and videos

  • @rosechris48 yes I agree... I could never figure out why some women did not find him handsome

  • Great !!

    RareElvisPresley com

  • Como sempre, no caso de Elvis, suas interpretações superam as originais, ainda que,no caso desta música, a versão original seja excelente...!

  • Awesome photos, they are beautiful and I have loved them dearly, more dearly than the spoken word can tell!

  • Awesome photos, they are beautiful and I love them dearly, more dearly than spoken can tell!

  • @bssstphn Thanks Steve. I'm glad you like my video's. :-)

  • GRANDE ELVIS ; HE WILL NEVER DIE

  • The king rules as it should be.

  • Songs, their lyrics and music is not limited to someone's country or accent, rather it's a matter of heart. Any artist will tell you so.

  • A wonderful version of Elvis doing a masterful song. He's not to be compared to Roger Whitaker. They are both great in their own way, style and presentation. Just listen to the version you like. Keep life simple and peaceful as this song conveys.

  • The singer of that song should have NO US-accent.

England is is home, so why the hell should he have an american accent?

Realizing that, Elvis had no chance to perform better then Roger Whittaker.

Roger has a clear english voice.

Elvis voice , in this case his american accent, makes it sound fine , but not authentic..

  • @schusterlehrling What the hell is your problem, I am british and i love that he recorded this song and didnt change the lyric, besides he had british ancestry way back along with his cheroke and jewish background.

  • There has never been anyone as good as Elvis .He had such a unique voice that can never be beaten.

The vast majority of people just feel that he sang hits. They are totally wrong Elvis could sing anything in his way like it or not....

This is another example and i am in England and am British ...

    It is just pure voice

  • @johnjturner1 I would gaurantee you Elvis's range could go much lower.

  • @johnjturner1 LMFAO You've got to be kidding me. What is Elvis's voice if not "deep and soulfelt?"

  • @johnjturner1 Never has an original been better than Elvis's version.

  • shut up and listen... that is what music is all about!!!

  • @johnjturner1 One million Amens to this.... Roger's is the very best version of this song, once your listen to his first tone, your whole world becomes overwhelmed and surrounded by his voice! I adore Roger Whittaker

  • Oh God, I didn't know he sung this song! This is heavenly.... I love it.

  • a real tear jerker if you love Elvis. No its not Roger Wittaker but Elvis does it so much lovingly

  • This was beautifly done ,Thank you

  • Nice. I liked it. I agree, it is not Roger W. But ya gotta admit Elvis did a great version, and this is the one that's going on my favorites list. Thanks for sharing.

  • Not my favourite version.

  • This is one of Elvis's most overlooked songs. I could listen to this version for hours.

  • Tip to the people non-Muslim I know you are all suffering from mental illness and depressed, and you, living on pills and not eaten will commit suicide most of you and the solution to you that you read the Koran and enter Islam will change your life, read the Koran and will feel the change I swear will be the happiest person try and would l.

  • Elvis was wonderful =)

  • Na Das war n Mann

  • AWESOME SONG!!!

  • Eu assisti o programa sobre Elvis Presley, domingo pelo canal E.Não gostei, achei que exageraram nos pontos negativos da vida dele.Não o elogiaram nenhuma vez. Me arrependi de ter assistido.

  • Very nice - but not a patch on Roger Whittaker I'm afraid. The warmth and emotion just isn't here...

  • @y16amp Elvis was actually a pretty darned good singer. His covers of songs made famous by others tend to be a lot hokier than the originals (example: his treatment of Lord, You Gave Me Mountain composed by Mary Robbins but first made a hit by Frankie Laine). Here, however, the arrangement is subdued, at least. As you say, quite nice but certainly not as good as Whittaker.

  • the pictures taken of Elvis should shared with his fans...it's his life we celebrate!

  • Chuck Berry "They named Elvis right when they called him King"

  • Elvis has done this very well but stll prefer rogers version . My 12 yr old daughter loves elvis so it just goes to show his music lives on in future generations and his music will never die .

  • Great upload *********

    Thank knowingElvis for sharing

  • A great version of this lovely song. I love this beautiful song both by Elvis and Roger Whittaker, and of course I have both versions in my collection, but I think Elvis' version is better. I'm a big Elvis fan and have always been. A wonderful song and video -:) ***** - Eddie

  • I'm sorry I really meant to say to all fans in Britain and the UK! Elvis had and has the greatest fan following from there. I send this out to all of you and hope you see just how much you meant to him. He always mentioned a visit your country but knowing the Col as we know now the reason Elvis couldn't.. Well his fans longed to see him and have stayed loyal.

  • This song goes out to ALL Elvis' wonderful fans from every part of the UK and we do have plenty of them! I guess you can say Elvis is showing you in this song just how much he would have loved visiting your country folks. He always did! Somehow this came to my mind a few hours back and I really wonder if it was a kinda message ..Hugs to all of you out there and thanks to ydentjes for this great upload.

  • He captured the song. Not even Roger did it better.

    Naomi

  • so fab , that you so much for the upload best take on this song

  • Beautiful!

  • Your all Aholes with these rights, you dont' own shit.

  • Awesome !

  • This is a beautiful song written by Roger Whittaker

  • @GeorgeStrait1986 So? Is there a problem with that? Is that a reason to call somebody an asshole? If you don't want people to use "your" picture than don't place it on a public website.

  • @ydentjes Actually, just because an image is on a public website, doesn't mean it's in the public domain, the original owner still retain all the copyrights unless it's specifically stated otherwise. Even then you can't be sure.

  • @ydentjes I can kind of see your point, but actually just because someone puts something in a public place does not mean anyone has the right to use it. Copyright protects images as well.

  • @illusionistdave

I understand that, but if you really are the owner of that picture and you place it on a public website you just KNOW that others will copy that picture. Still that is not a reaon to call somebody an asshole. He can only blame him self.

  • @GeorgeStrait1986 Wow. It's funny how assholes are so quick to call others that.

  • Great video. He will always be the king. Laura

  • In Memory of my wonderful Dad who I lost on 23rd December 2009 and who loved this song, god bless to him and Elvis.

  • R.I.P

  • some of the words in this song are "for you are beautiful" I dedicate them to Elvis because he sure was beautiful.

  • Awsome just pure awsome. There has never been a voice to even get close to this mans and i doubt there will ever be one. Most certainly not in my lifetime anyway.

I sure hope he us up there when i go!!

  • From the "Jungle room session"

    Beautiful!!!

    God Bless and Take Care

    Jan

  • alguem sabe se existe esse vídeo legendado em portugues?

  • Como está difícil aparecer alguém que chegue perto de Elvis Presley. Talvez seu neto? Nesta música é que aparece o tom grave de sua voz.LINDO.

  • Very beautiful song by this great man...:o)

  • Cool version, Is there somewhere I could find this mix of the song? I had only recently discovered that Elvis covered this song. I like what he did with it, but what can you say; some people get him some people don't. He defiantly gave a lot of people a great deal of happiness.

  • great photos, great song -- just makes me sad I couldn't help him in the end :(

  • happy birthday

  • I still love you even a hundred years from now..

    Elvis The King

  • Very great song....

    Very great Elvis...

  • His voice is totally awesome. The greatest singer of all time without doubts.

  • beautiful song .... love the sound

  • the only and one king ever!!

  • awesome!! but too much noise reduction

  • hello

  • Hello.

  • elvis aint tth fit especially at 0:44 and 0:36

  • Very great song by the greatest singer of all time...:o)

  • Beautifully done...thank you~

  • I had no idea Elvis sang this, it's a fantastic take on Roger whittakers biggest hit and if I close my eyes its hard to decide who is actually singing it.

  • You saying Roger sounds like Elvis????

  • Honey Elvis could sound like anybody he wanted to including Johnny Cash; but the best sound is just him bein him..he captures a little of Roger here but he mostly sings what sounds good

  • Thanks for posting such a beautiful version of one my favourite Elvis songs. Nice One

  • ze kunnen nu saampjes zingen king of pop en king of rock wat zal dat een feest zijn daar boven !

  • Wonderful post and great channel!

  • I still prefer Elvis to many that came after.

4 me it's Elvis, The Beetles, Dr.Dre, Tiesto, and 50cent's first album.

  • elvis was and is still the best singer this planet as ever seen and will ever see

  • Roger Whittaker conveys the feeling of this song much better.

  • That's your opinion, and you are entitled to that but I don't agree

  • Omg you cant say that anyone of thsi worlds sings this better than the King. His voice fits to every title. He is incredible!

  • @KingFlo2 tbh, I find Roger Whittaker's version to be preferrable, though this version is good as well...

I think plenty of people have a better voice than Elvis, Whittaker being one of them - not to degrade Elvis either. Some of his later work is incredibly good, and he's one of the few singers to come from the US that I think had real talent.

  • @kcmall You must not know what feeling is.:)

  • Comment removed

  • @kcmall It depends on the person. I thought Elvis and Roger sang this song equally well, just differently.

My favorite version of this song was done by the Anita Kerr Singers, although I haven't been able to find it on the Internet. Any help would be appreciated.

I also liked the Anita Kerr Singers' version of "The Long and Winding Road" better than the Beatles, but then again I preferred Tony Bennett's version of "Something."

  • I swear...The King is Awsome......his version is like everything he did....unbeatable!!!!!

  • this is better than the origional!!! thanks for posting..

  • You're absolutly right about Elvis having no desire to return to home, but still he sings it with such compassion a lot of singers miss, with or with out desires.

And that is and was the strenght of Elvis Presley, he sang with his heart and not with his mind. He didn't care about the money, only the Colonel did. And you can hear that in almost ervery ballad he sang.

  • It was this sound, his voice that got me when I received a link of Blue Christmas. Thanks for posting all these songs, unknown to me!

    Yvonne (also)

  • You're welcome Yvonne :-)

  • Elvis is great but Roger Whittaker does a great job on his song

  • You're absolutly right, but I'm an Elvisfan and what can I say other then I'm more in favor of Elvis.

    Yvonne

  • I hate remixes!!!

  • sorry to hear that.

  • It not a remix. It's actually a raw studio take of the song beofre they mixed in the backing vocals, orchestration and more.

  • Elvis had a part in everthing we know about music..

  • I really wonder if the Beatles could sing this like Elvis....This song is simply wow! And no one on this planet can sound like this no one!

  • I think nobody can sing a song like Elvis did.

I also think this song wasn't a kind of song for the Beatles.

  • This is easily one of my most favorite songs that Elvis ever recorded. Elvis' rendition of this very legendary and spectacular song should definitely be way, way, way better known than it actually is. Roger Whittaker was the first recording artist to ever record this song. This is Roger Whittaker's signature song. My parents have attended two of Roger Whittaker's concerts. I loved this video immensely, 10 Stars.

  • He recorded this song at Graceland in the Jungle Room. I've been to that room many times. I live close to Graceland all my life.

  • I've been to that room too, a lot of times. And I live in the Netherlands :-). Going back this summer, can't wait.

    Yvonne D. Entjes

  • That's great! I know you will have a fun time!
