Everybody I read is commenting on what they think BMW is going for suv, wagon etc!!! I think the designers said, "We want a car that will be as comfortable in the back as well as the front over a long distance trip."

Had a good look at the 5-Series GT yesterday, the car has real presence. May not be an oil painting, but I don't think that matters. Only thing I don't like about it, and it is slight is the lack of indicators on the wing mirrors.

Oh no! Please say it isn't so! Are there any BMW enthusiasts that would approve of the rear end design on this concept?! It almost looks like a Pontiac Aztec....I have to admit that BMW (whether it was Bangle or van Hooydonk) missed the mark on this design and the X6 design. I think one day, we'll all look back and say, "What were they thinking?!"

Yes, now there is an alternative 5-series for "x" and "d" letter and crossover lovers. But what about make the thing, about which bmw lovers dream since E39 times - low and wide sporty sedan of ravishing design, lightness and sportiness. Mercedes already did it with CLS, even VW did it with Passat CC, so is there remaining any sporty nature in BMW or are they going to make only two ton fat ugly monsters from now on?

Why build this when there's a traditional 5 series estate? Wouldn't be so bad on a small car but on something the size of a 5?...

No wonder BMW's head of design team "left" the company the other day! He must have fell & hit his head just before he thought of the hideous X6 and now this contraption!

In my opinion, I think he got a much better offer elsewhere and decided to sabotage his own future at BMW - cuz these latest offerings from BMW are just dismal!
