I wasn't born until 88', but I love this music. I love this movie. You guys are the people I look up to. I sat here and read every single one of your comments. I wish I could have been there during this time. With you guys. The generation today is so bland, and boring :\ Nothing beats punk rock of the 80's to me. I saw D.I this past saturday at the Adicts show. Best show I've ever been to. All these bands were amazing and the ones still here still are. Much Respect!
same. imagine no internet just radio hanging out with your friends staying out all day on the streets.. punk rock was a world wide fenomena an undeground stream it was sad and desperate that's how i see it there's no glam
shit is not the same these lameass kids think the got it bad. they dont know shit. when i was growing up thats all we had was PUNK ROCK and drugs now you got PS3`s and XBOX. shit, me and my homeboys lived life like it was a video game, we were so fucked up,it felt like one so...... fuck you! &PUNK`S not dead!
I was a homeless 17 y.o. back in summer of '92 and a punk rocker as well with other Punk rockers. We lived in an abandoned train car. Only we were called the Dispossessed. Punk Rock was still in during the 90's and up to this day. Long live Punk Rock!
oh fuck yes this movie is better than slc punk and sid and nancy because it shows the life of some punks in the world the majorty of punks are rejected underestimated judged hated i love this movie it reminds me of me and of my good friend who passed rip brian d.
i vote with u see Decline 1 in this film poster of Darby crash and says Decline of western civilization badass film came out in 81 filmed 79-81 when germs were still around
The biggest trip when watching these clips is you remember being at & seeing shows like yesterday. You remember all the attitudes, black finger nails, DEP, white can aqua net hair spray, suspenders, combat boots & of course that wonderful feeling of "HMMM What should I do today?" Now its all about bills & bullshit
Aww come on man. I literally saw D.I. play last night. plus Agent Orange, Fear, and Total Chaos. I also have a full time job. You can still go to shows and pay bills! Boots and braces are still in style.
@bartole69 hell yeah now i'm a fat 40 year old with a 17 year old daughter telling me she knows more then me........lmfao......you wake up one day and it's like oh shit i'm no longer 16.........bills morgages just make you wanna say fuck it i'm going back ..............H.D.P.........hollywood drunk punks
@bartole69 we are prob about the same age cos i remember all that..bein broke and scraping up to see the exploited, now its just bein broke to pay bills to get by, i miss those days
Wow! Quite a lot of punks here! I often think about those days. I have tons of stories, plenty beautiful people that I knew. We had a real cool sense of style back then. Suddenly it was all wannabe gang bangers & tough guy acts. I'm happy I was a punk & all the girls I dated were punks. . .
All my friends are dead or sold out....this was a kick in the head of a reminder of those days. Still have scars to remind me but I gotta find this movie.
Lived very similar to this for a time in my life. It was just a movie but it reflected a reality. Anyone remember the houses of 610 that were the subject of iminent domain and sat like that for years? I lived very close.
The part i hated about the movie was how they treated the dogs. the scene where the dogs were being shot by the rednecks..remember that? it was obvious that they had cable or something tied to the front of the dogs legs. When they reached the end of the cable they were flipped. Bullshit to treat a dog like that!
@Misfitspunk1023 your generation is all surface, no heart-much more so than other generations
