This is what nonbelievers don't understand. God never promised us an easy road when we so blatanly disobeyed him. But, he did promise that he would never give us something we couldn't handle. When it became to be too much, that was when our Father would pick is up and carry us through the sorrow and danger. I've lost many people I've loves, and this song makes me cry everytime. At least, we're not alone in our suffering. Jesus suffered and died like none of us can imagine.
My father passed away 7 years ago and there's not a day that goes by that i don't think of him or all the good times that we had. If I knew then what i knew now I would've hugged him everyday and never let him go. Even now at 22 I can still fell his stubby beard rubbing against my face and me pushing him away. What i wouldn't do to feel that stubby beard of his one more time.
When my son passed away at 14 months old, I could have never listened to this song.... amazing the freedom from that prison of grief that happens, I picture myself wrapped up in Him, my tears on His shoulder and then He tells me in 2 Corinthians, "we don't look at the troubles we can see right now; rather , we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever" And then I breath.......

My daughter as a baby contracted RSV & then pneumonia & was hospitalized. After months in the hospital fighting one illness after another, she slipped into eternity. She was 7 months old. I was shattered- broken. I was so angry with God. I was a prayer warrior on my knees day & night. I just didn't understand why He would take her. Later, when I heard this song it came to mean so much to me. I was sure that someone who knew my pain wrote it--maybe, just for me, so I would hear it's message.

My dad suffered a heart attack while driving and crashed into a building. My ill grandmother was so grief-stricken that she stopped eating and died a few weeks later. This has been such a difficult time for my family, but we continue to lean on God for strength and healing.

It's not God's fault that people get sick or that people have tragedies. It's life and we must deal w it the best way we know how and that's w His love, atleast that's how I deal w things like this. He said there would be struggles in life and we must over come them. I don't believe He created illness, why would He? This song has helped us out so much! Life isn't fair and when it gets tuff we have to except things and just be held by our savior! We were on our way of being approved to adopt my 12 year old brother who was in the system due to dysfunctional parents.But before we could have him placed in our home. He decided to take his own life in his foster home. In a coma for a week 1/2.we were praying for a miracle he lived for a day and 1/2 on his own. @ 4:10 this song came on and my wife cried he wasgone

This song reminds me of the abiding love of God holding us, even when life's tragedies hit. I disagree wtih theocratickingdom30's comment that God would have a divine purpose in causing his/her grandmother to have cancer and scream in pain for "the glory of God." The heart of Christianity is that God is present WITH US bringing resurrection hope in the midst of the often meaningless brokenness of our world (where there's sickness & death).
This is what it means to be held. My Love was taken from me because of Cancer. One Sunday he accepted Jesus and was saved; the next Sunday he was Baptized; the next Sunday we went to only 1/2 a church service because his pain was too much; The next Sunday he went home to be with Jesus at 10:30 that night. He was only 36 years old. I know I will see him again sitting beside our Savoir waiting for me! Thank you Jesus for you LOVE!

This song has helped us out so much! Life isn't fair and when it gets tuff we have to except things and just be held by our savior! We were on our way of being approved to adopt my 12 year old brother who was in the system due to dysfunctional parents.But before we could have him placed in our home. He decided to take his own life in his foster home. In a coma for a week 1/2.we were praying for a miracle he lived for a day and 1/2 on his own. @ 4:10 this song came on and my wife cried he wasgone

This song reminds me of the abiding love of God holding us, even when life's tragedies hit. I disagree wtih theocratickingdom30's comment that God would have a divine purpose in causing his/her grandmother to have cancer and scream in pain for "the glory of God." The heart of Christianity is that God is present WITH US bringing resurrection hope in the midst of the often meaningless brokenness of our world (where there's sickness & death).

This is what it means to be held. My Love was taken from me because of Cancer. One Sunday he accepted Jesus and was saved; the next Sunday he was Baptized; the next Sunday we went to only 1/2 a church service because his pain was too much; The next Sunday he went home to be with Jesus at 10:30 that night. He was only 36 years old. I know I will see him again sitting beside our Savoir waiting for me! Thank you Jesus for you LOVE!

I had a miscarriage two years ago, this song is probably the only thing that kept me going. I was 22 weeks, so I had to give birth to her. I had to see her. I had to see everything I wanted be ripped from my arms. I know I asked myself everyday why did this happen to me? I never did anything to deserve this. But I know that God has it under control, he picked me up and dusted me off.

This is a good song. I had a miscarriage in feb and the guy I was with he couldn't say anything to me so he sent me this song... It spoke more then he could ever had done. It helped me move on! And for that I am thankful!

Judaism has a part of its faith that believes your earlier generations' sins can go down the family generation and you will face the consequences of their actions. Faith branching with the belief of reincarnation states that you lived once before and the sins of that life shall affect your "coming lives" as from a book. We as christians pay our dues in our one life on this earth.
