  • that is fucking sweet

  • FUCKIN BEAUTIFUL

  • Man what a sweet sweet tone that thing has, I like that alot better then a dobro.

  • Beautiful!! 5 Stars

  • Hey, thanks very much for adding your video as a response to mine. I'm honored considering i learnt it off your version!

  • thank you found the tab great

  • great have you the tab

  • Yes.

The link is present in the description of the vid.

  • @yolemafreux how much did that cost?

  • very nice playing,,

    relaxing song, 5 stars!

  • Very nice.

  • I just got one of these, and it was my great grandma's and the strings are about five years old and i was wondering what kind of strings to use for it, any suggestions?

  • bronze wound, martins. bronze has a rich folk sound, but can take a beating if you use harder picks (i.e. a quarter)

  • Totally agree. I use Martin bronze acoustic medium gauge (13 - 56) on mine.

  • great tune whats thu tuning and is there a tab out there

  • Thanks for comment.

See description for tuning and tab's link.

  • Sounds great. Just a Weissenborn a few days ago and appreciate the tab. They're hard to find.

  • great job, maybe you can check out me and the kids do a song too thanks

  • Thanks for comment.

I have seen vids and let a message on your youtube's page...

  • Very nice

  • Thanks for comment

  • P.S. I like the "fuzzy" camera. Adds to the mood...

  • Thanks for comment.

  • Just added this to my very first "favorite" list. Inpired me to quit humming and hawing over it and buy my very own Weissenborn. Thank you! gpa1088

  • You're welcome and thanks for comment !

    Warning : weissenborn/lapsteel playing is addictive !

I'm sure you will take pleasure from your instrument in near future...

    regards, Yo.

  • Yes, I just got my weissenborn yesterday! I love it already, if you don't mind i already figured out this beautiful tune you play and have been practicing for hours. Thanks again!

  • Happy for you ! What's the brand ?

I don't know if you have already seen the link for tablature in description of the video, may it helps you...

    Welcome on slide planet !

Contact me when you do your fist vid with your new instrument !

    Cheers , Yo

  • Thank you, I will check out the link later, sadly I have to put my slide down and go to work. It is a 'Enorez' weissenborn style I bravely bought off e-bay from a music store in NJ whose owner designs them himself. I beleive his name is Timothy Zerone. Note the backward spelling of his name for the guitar. !

  • incredible sound..whats up with your camera?

  • Thanks for comment. Camera simply sucks... and I was no used to have good video settings when I released this (framerate, extension, resolution and few others things).

This is my first vid on youtube! Happy you enjoyed it !

  • Dobro is one of the most beautiful instruments when played well. You play it well.

  • Thanks for comment !

    But it's not a Dobro, it's a "weissenborn".

    Same way of playing anyway...

  • this brought me back to georgia and sitting in church listening to the choir.

  • i dont really like this music im from up north

    but dam good!!

  • its strange because when youre fromt eh south this touches you deep down inside. isnt that a strange thing?

  • Coming from a Kentucky boy I think this is great! It sounds very authentic. Thanks for the music!

  • Just felt like I was somewhere in the middle of Kentucky! =)

    Great song, great execution.

  • Thanks for comment !

  • Superbe, Yo! Septembre! (t'es en Ré, tant pis pour moi!)

  • Great work partner. If you ever make a cut of this please let me know. I'd love to have a copy. Best of luck.

  • wow, that's really good. good job man.

  • Excellent

  • OMG I LOVE IT!!!!!! perfect sooo beautiful

    God bless,

    Have faith in the lord

  • One word.....Beautiful!!

  • Lovely, Playing. ;]

  • You play really well. Maybe you could teach me a few tricks.

  • I see you live in USA and I think you can easily find a teacher in lapsteel playing, it isn't the case in my country... and I have poor skills in english and in teaching lap style guitar.

    Anyway,thanks for comment !

  • That is great! I have been trying to do this. I have a Fender lap steel. What key is yours tuned in?

  • Thanks. I'm tuned in open D (D.A.D.F#.a.d)

  • Brilliant, what a great player and a great instrument. Tim.

  • Wow, cool. I didn´t know that instrument yet. It´s not a guitar and not something Austrians would call a dulcimer either.

  • In fact it's a guitar but an hawaiian one ! It's commonly named Weissenborn because of the name of the most famous manufacturer in the beginning of century.

You can only play it with a bar slide (piece of metal) and not your fingers.

See my other vids if you really want to see the instrument because this one (the vid) is awful ! And thanks for comment !

  • Thanks very much.. beautiful job..keep posting...Thanks also for the TAB link..

    A New Fan

    Kevin

  • Happy you like it Kevin ! thanks for comment

  • Wonderful

  • Thanks for comment

  • lovely and sweet!

  • thanks daddy. I really appreciate comments from you...

You're an exemple for me. Keep it on !

  • vraiment excellent !

  • thanks david. I like your sound too!

  • Lovely tone dude!! 5 stars!

  • thanks for comment.

I'm used to play on lapsteel (with heavy string gauge) that's why my playing is shy on this video.

I try to do better next time.

  • a great take , but pick a little harder, put your soul into this great music!regards bluespower..
