And to GeneralM187,  I was in the 160th. They are an AVIATION unit only. All members go through hand to hand combat training. There are NO ground combat units in the 160th.

To the Moron, DJDes010, all the 160th birds can fly without the probe and yes there are some training helicopters that DON"T have probes. Do your research.

I know my shit you assholes, you dont fucking know it, there black there supposed to be black because 160th is used mostly in night operations, flying at a MAXIMUM of around 300 feet i dont know the exact number sure, but its really low, there top piots who train the world on helecopter flying because no one does it better than them, they work with SEAL teams or Delta operators depending on the scenario, i know my stuff im not an idoit and im not wrong.

@GeneralM187. You my friend are misinformed. The 160th (SOAR) has NO "paramilitary". They are Special Operation Pilots under SOCOM. Try reading a book called Black Hawk Down. That book may or may not have something to do with this unit. I am assessing 160th when I finish Flight School. I have a few buddies that were crew chiefs with 160th here with me in flight school. Quit posting bullshit on here.

First off, they are not choppers. Secondly, they all DO NOT have a probe. 47's and 60's have the fuel probes but not all of the 60 models have them. I'm not even going to attempt the different variants they have. Most of there customers are under SOCOM but they do operate with conventional forces as well.

They're the tier 1 army special operations team, the Navy has the equivalent called DEVGRU known as Developmental group. The CIA uses paramilitary forces which are part of the Special Activities Division

Haney, he was one of the founding members of the unit back in the 70's, he talks about selection, and some missions he was on. It's really good. also if you've heard of the show "the unit" haney produced that, and every mission in the first season was based off of an actual mission that he had done
