Populism is the real cause of most of our problems. I'm sick of hearing politicians say that they're hunkering down, working hard and doing the will of the people. They are not the champions of the people. They are the users of the people.
Even if I'd share Ron Pauls positions - which I don't - I'd still believe he woudn't make a good president. He just isn't pragmatic enough. He wouldn't 'actually do what he's saying he's gonna do', simply because he couldn't.
@FreakishDonQuixote He would be able to do some things, the president is the Commander of the Armed Forces, as such he would be able to order the military back to the U.S. instead of being scattered around the world in hundreds of different bases. He would also have veto power allowing him to cut funding for things he would want cut, and for the veto to get over turned would most likely require quite a few republican congressmen, and we will see if they truly want a small government.
I am from Canada and I support Ron Paul. He inspires me to be a good person and it is my desire to emulate him here in Canada. Very beautiful to see someone your age with these beliefs. I just asked my 11 year old daughter to inquire about Ron Paul when she gets back to school in Sept.

Abolishing the fed would hopefully end fractional reserve banking a method that allows bankers to create 9 times more money than there actually is from an economy. Sometimes you have kids under the age of 18 who have more common sense about what is really happening in American than most adults. Especially those who will continue to vote for Obama. With a presidential candidate like Ron Paul I still can't understand why people are going to vote for Romney, Bachman and other. It blews my mind how out of touch some people are.
Young girl, the war in Iraq was started for many reasons except the obvious. For example Iraq wanted to get out of us dollars and traded in euro. That would have cause Americas end sooner. Oil was the big cause not terrorism. America does not have a terrorist problem........yet. The boss want one,whoever that is. Uncle Paul means well but he will never become president. The people will vote for him and he might get the majority of vote but the system is so stewed that it will not happen.

Your uncle is one of the few credible people in politics and that puts him at a disadvantage. If he wins the primary I'll vote for him i'd sign up for the primary but the state I live in it wouldn't matter, it doesn't vote in primaries every election. Fair enough?

I don't know if your uncle will win. He's a direct threat to a lot of people in power and they're doing everything that they can to ignore him. He's got fierce supporters who will be all over mainstream media if they totally ignore him, but they're ignoring him just about as much as they can....which doesn't make sense, especially since he's getting a good following from both sides of the isle. I hope he gets the nomination, but even if he doesn't, he's started something in America

Even if I'd share Ron Pauls positions - which I don't - I'd still believe he woudn't make a good president. He just isn't pragmatic enough. He wouldn't 'actually do what he's saying he's gonna do', simply because he couldn't.

@FreakishDonQuixote He would be able to do some things, the president is the Commander of the Armed Forces, as such he would be able to order the military back to the U.S. instead of being scattered around the world in hundreds of different bases. He would also have veto power allowing him to cut funding for things he would want cut, and for the veto to get over turned would most likely require quite a few republican congressmen, and we will see if they truly want a small government.

Abolishing the fed would hopefully end fractional reserve banking a method that allows bankers to create 9 times more money than there actually is from an economy. Also did you know that the Fed is partially controlled from London. Look up "The City of London" not Greater London I'm talking about the city state. Research it and the freeman movement and you'll see why Ron Paul is the way to be. :) P.S. I'm British but I care more about R.P. becoming president than about the prime minister here!

Young girl, the war in Iraq was started for many reasons except the obvious. For example Iraq wanted to get out of us dollars and traded in euro. That would have cause Americas end sooner. Oil was the big cause not terrorism. America does not have a terrorist problem........yet. The boss want one,whoever that is. Uncle Paul means well but he will never become president. The people will vote for him and he might get the majority of vote but the system is so stewed that it will not happen.

Also I just want to mention that I found out about Ron Paul through Mike Adams aka The Health Ranger from Natural News. He made a video on Ron Paul during his last campaign in 2008. My younger brother says the most effective door nocking is a guy/girl team. After watching this vid I think he's right. She uses a lot of distractions to pleasantly keep your attent (oiy a bee!) attention. A guy could not do that- he would look like a spaz.
