Play both games, and you'll understand. Mega Man X became a cyber elf during the events post X and before the Zero series. I forgot how, but he eventually became a radioactive metal (Biometal) which house the X, Zero and the legendary Guardians. There are more biometals to be found since some can be manufactured (model A) and generated from model W. The Zero and X biometals house the spirits of the original reploids respectively.

@TranceCore3 i stopped playing them after zero 3 but i read about zero 4's story....i dont know much about ZX the only thing i know is that little girl hugging the cat from zero series apparently is all grown up in ZX and is following the foots steps of the blonde girl that found zero in zero1 i forgot their names its been so long.

good to know they live on through the biometal.

i wonder if after ZX series is over would it take place in legend series or before legend...

Legends is the direct sequel series to ZX. It takes place roughly 4000 years after ZX, when the world is "Reset" as Dr Thomas said.

I think the point was to show people a level that they hadn't seen for a while and maybe give you a sense of where you are in the world. And besides Megaman X is long since dead(well at least the first one) so it might be to give a great blast from the past.

you have to beat the game with vent and aile on normal.start a new game and get to the part where you get zx model and you will be able to use x model anytime you want
