The Zi8 is not a bad little unit. I have one. I also have an SX20.
Just as I thought, the surround stereo sound of the SX20 hd vid is much richer (though the highs can tend to be ear-piercing at times). The picture is much brighter and vivid compared to the darker duller Zi8.
It also is nic e to have a full 12.1 MP 20X zoom camera in the SX20 aswell!
From a band view point the zi8 has a much better overall sound with better low mids. The sx20 sound is much to glassy. sometimes more is not better.
