  • I think the piano is by Roy Bargy.

  • I LOVE this, What a great recording. When I hear this music, I wish I could've lived then.

  • is she wearing a shirt? 2:07

  • @Goldenbreeze1 Probably not. The 'obscenity laws' for entertainment and films only really kicked in after the mid 1930s.

  • A big THANK YOU! for posting my all-time favorite version of The Charleston.

  • Teraz to już prawie nikt tego tańczyć nie umie .......

  • Everybody is doing the Charleston! Including athletic macho men as in 1:11 and 1:14 and, of course, me holding on to the chest of drawers and getting out of breath in no time!

  • A really splendid post. Great music and pics. I agree with Genia about the monkey!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Sparkling version of the old song and dance. Must go outside and dance in the Washington midsummer heat, then jump into the pool if the police don't arrest me.

  • Grzegorz,

I love this Isham Jones Charleston, he was a true Master of Music and I love that piano solo. That MONKEY was the BEST Charleston Dancer and a very Snappy Dresser! Merci.
