  • I think it's called The Chimney Song and by Bob Rivers from the album Twisted Christmas. I tried to find a version to listen to online but wasn't so lucky. I would like to hear it myself!

  • Heres the first verse of the song in English:

There's something stuck up in the chimney

And I don't know what it is,

But it's been there all night long.

Well, I waited up for Santa all Christmas night

But he never came and it don't seem right.

And there's something in the chimney

And it doesn't make a sound,

But I wish you Merry Christmas.

  • I think it was Icelandic song only^^ so... don't think it was ever translated for English :)

  • Reyndar er þetta upprunalega með Bob Rivers og heitir The Chimney song. En ég viðurkenni að ég hélt lengi að þetta væri alíslenskt.

  • Snæfinnur snjókarl

    var með snjáðan pípuhatt,

    Gekk í gömlum skóm

    og með grófum róm

gat hann talað, rétt og hratt.

    "Snæfinnur snjókarl!

    Bara sniðugt ævintýr,"

    segja margir menn,

    en við munum enn

hve hann mildur var og hýr.

  • Wow are you gonna learn Icelandic, it's REALLY hard, even for us who are born here, but I admire you for doing that, don't stop

  • yeah, i even made a yule video in May! But I was talking to one woman who favorited the other one and was sad when i removed it to private... so i brought it back and was inspired to do more.. the reason I started the other one was that I've been talking about the Yule Lads to people online and wanted to share some music and pictures of them in a Youtube video :)
