This is the scariest song ever, it gives me nightmares. water in everquest always scared the shit out of me.

Reminds me of the music i hear in old(ish) RPGs from the 90's. But it's correct that this music isn't right if it's just what you hear when you're underwater. I could understand this music in a more magical setting, but EQ's water was bland and most everything around you was the same. And SHARK HERE!

I remember back in the days when I fell off the boat in Timorous Deep and and to hold down the up arrow for 2 hours to swim to the nearest island. My classmates were laughing at me but I didn't want to lose all my gear. Now that I look back, it was pretty funny.  That's how bad we feared death back in the days.

This is why I didn't particularly begrudge SOE for adding the Nexus and PoK ports: the boats were so damn boring and glitchy.

I remember gettin eatin through the boat by a plague shark while sitting in the galley. Swam around for hours trying to find my body on the ocean floor, ended up rotting :(

This song was always way too relaxing for the amount of stress swimming caused. Like, when I glitched off the boat and ended up getting eaten by a shark and losing my corpse. :P Still brings back memories of being a dumb newbie, though!

i remember fallin off the boat on way to firiona vie and not having a clue what to do so i swam around for over an hour until i got lucky and hit the zone line

hahahahah soo true. I remember taking the boat from Freeport, heading to sister island to camp the dwarves and later on seom cyclops. And as a lowbie, when i would fall through the boat, i would always get ownned by sharks lol

lol! I know, I was freaking out whenever I fell off a boat... I felt safe and relaxed being on the boat, but seeing it drift away with that music still playing really got to me.
