Why can't the new zelda games be more like this? zelda went down when twilight princess came out. total garbage :( I would so play it if the graphics were like OOt and MM. I miss you childhood..
@Blazing234@DJNYXCRAFT And the Gamecube as well! I'd suggest playing it on the older stations, rather than playing the 3D version first. It'll feel so much more... complete. :D
Y'know for such a peaceful village, they had a lot of messed up stuff going on in Kakariko.
All the temples served a purpose. A museum/mansion home. An ancient shrine. What purpose was there for the Shadow Temple other than torture and slaughter? Those walls(made of dried up blood and skulls mind you)that tell of the villager's hands and history filled with blood. Bongo Bongo's backstory of being a thief who was decapitated and had his hands removed. Need I go on?
@Perroramirez He was thief who was punished is what they say.
How you get to the next part requires looking into medieval punishments, or you could just take a look at the guy, remember the Shadow Temple is a torture chamber/prison and put 2 and 2 together to figure out what happened to him.
@Arc13 I actually don't remember any NPC saying he was a thief. But I do recall the old man that tells you that the man who used to live in the house where the well is "could see the truth" or something, I guess that could be Bongo Bongo.
@Perroramirez Bongo Bongo was released from the Bottom Of The Well, Shadow Temple walls suggest the villages history is written in blood, the thief bit comes from the medieval punishments(thieves had their hands cut off). History shows it's a common occurence for executions in that time.
None of it is out right said but all suggested throughout with little details such as these.
After all, we know 02 bleeds from his eye, but would Nintendo ever say that?
This piece of music (along with Epona's Song) are just two of many reasons Ocarina of Time may just be the greatest video game ever made. I don't need it on the Will and I don't want it in 3D...all I need is my fading 64 with my green controller...and I tell ya' I don't need a time machine...because i'm ten again...
Even though they're not there, I can still just quietly hear the moo-ing cows and the sound of the Windmill and the workers running :P. Damn I'm so obsessed with this song..
Believing that ocarina of time was over rated or not as good as another basically makes it seem as of though you aren't a fan or are mentally handicapped. In my opinion it goes ocarina of time link to the past majoras mask twilight princess wind waker and then Minish cap
@xShadowTriforcex i agree with oot being overrated twilight princess is better. and im not saying because it has bad graphics, i know it was advanced for its time but i didnt really like oot.
Do you remember when you where little and never would stop playing Zelda? Remember when there were no haters making fun of this game. Remember when you died you would save your game and try again? Remember when you felt so alive when you killed Queen Gohma? Remember every day when you came home from a hard day of school work you could depend on the Zelda game to make you happier? Do you remember when you beat the whole entire game you felt so accomplished? Where did all that go?
@MultiGeekyGamer to the shit called... graphics first.. story and music almost forgotten... : / in todays game you can only found story and music etc.. priority before graphics in world of warcraft.. still.. miss the 90s :(
I do love that Nintendo left the music alone when remaking this game for the 3DS - there are graphical and interface improvements, controls remapped to the new system, and a new optional feature or two, but the music remains timeless and unchanged - a gray cartridge's soundchip replicated 13 years later (it can't be a gold one due to the Fire Temple...).
I hate how nostalgia helps you to remember better days, but at the same time tortures you with the knowledge that you'll never get to be that way again. D:
Oh god, I remember spending hours just picking up cuccos and throwing them around everywhere, and it was some of the most fun I've ever had in my life. Miss these days so much..
Brings you back to a simpler time doesn't it? God damn, as I get older, everything seems so much shittier. But this song right here, along with all the other tracks from this amazing game put a big smile on my face again.
I remember this game as a kid. My sister would play it for hours and then she finished and got board with it. After she focused more on school the game was all to myself. I played for hours. I even beat the game twice.

@TheUnofficialNinja <3 your comment just inspired a huge nostalgia rush... I was incredibly scared from Queen Gohma, the Stalchilds (Zombies in Hyrule field that come out at night) and the Redeads :/ But I kept playing.
And racing the workers in Kakariko... I thought that was only me, I used to spend ages in Kakariko, Lake Hylia, and the Goron city when I was stuck, to the point were I memorized every nook and cranny of the respective cities...
@sKaYj2 I had the strategy guide, but I was just too scared to actually play. I think I spent the most time in Kakariko, but I spent a ton of time in Zora's Domain, diving off of the waterfall and trying to get across the map in a certain amount of time.
It's funny -- I'm graduating from high school tomorrow, and there' s a picture in the yearbook of me at 6 years old, reading the strategy guide for this game. It's funny, I don't really feel old enough for that to be so long ago.
@TheUnofficialNinja Haha well congrats on graduating :) guess that makes me a year younger than you, anyway, you're lucky you had a strategy guide, when I was growing up not once did I ever have a guide for any game haha, and i feel you man, all these amazing games that i have the fondest memories off... I feel like it happened so recently, because when I play the games again i dno, i just feel right at home, I guess you feel the same way too
@sKaYj2 Thank you! Yeah, I guess my dad never wanted to me to get stuck. Or he was just used to playing games where you needed them, what with all of the RTSs.
I totally do! It's always awesome to know that no matter where I go, I'll always have Hyrule to return to. I think it's wonderful that this game has affected so many people.
@TheUnofficialNinja Same here. I remember after i got over my fear of gohma and went outside to hyrule castle, the skeletons that come out at night scared me. Also, after you get the master sword and the redeads are in the market. tsk tsk... >,>
@TheUnofficialNinja i was afraid of resident evil. but overall i loved legend of zelda back when clothes didnt matter or gangs shooting you cause of the wrong color of clothing you have on. back when my old neighbor hood and hometown wasnt tearing itself apart... :(
I love when one top comment is a reply of the other.
Makes it easier for me.

Also, after you get the master sword and the redeads are in the market. tsk tsk... >,>
