  • yuck what awful women... you guys are so fucking clueless.. all you need is the love of a good man but you'll never get it because your repulsive to real men

  • Men are not oppressing women. It's women who oppress women. Studies have shown that women do not like to work for other women, they are much happier when working for a man. This makes perfect sense. Women want to be the objects of desire, so when they get together they become catty and jealous. This is why men are at the very top - women want them there.

  • What a load of papp! when i think of my manager, I think of my manager. not a man! My manager is a woman just now and the best manager I ever had was also a woman! and also the worst manager I have had was a woman!

  • Why is it important that men and women are equally represented in boardrooms? Why is it not important that men and women are equally represented in prisons or manual labour?

Isn't it because it's nothing to do with equality and everything to do with feminism?

  • Let us do everything in our power to bring down the glass ceiling, but that glass cellar could use a nice little polish.

  • Working is stressful enough. Working and managing a family? I can't imagine! Still, if you're going to make the decision to juggle two lives, don't expect your male and childless female coworkers to cover for you.

  • looking at the progress since the 1970, this rate will mean that we need another 60 years to truly be equal?

  • There's no gender equality in any other aspect of nature, so us stupid humans have to try an experiment that WILL FAIL. Grow a brain cell or two and go back to the system that worked. Man being men and Woman being women simple, it will work...

  • @spaceman3210

I would rather a woman who works then leach of my wage any day. Women who divorce and rely on child support should actually be made to work so they can't take money away from tax payers through welfare payments.

My mum divorced early and she has worked 5 days a week, has cooked every night of the week and cleans and keeps the house spotless and shes fine with that.

Depending on the woman it actually does work.

  • construction laborers are 99% men. Therefore we should force 50% of women to be construction laborers.

also 50% of men should be stay at home dads. I have tried pitching that once but women seem to take offece to that?

  • @rustyscrapper They sure do take offence. Tell them that 50% of the military deaths should be women, since that would be "equality" afterall and watch them go and get a kitchen knife.

  • If women are so victimized around men, why don't they form businesses amongst themselves.

Free of the bondage imposed by men (as the feminists say) they would be free to outcompete men freely no ?

How come feminists are so clever about blaming men for everything women disagree with while at the same time feminists are too stupid to bypass men completely ?

That is the main question that comes to mind whenever i hear a feminist complain about men (once again !)

  • @MMMisterDNA

They've actually exploited their freedom to form women-only companies before, and the articles written about it have been hilarious. Some of the chemistry rang like an environement deprived of men to blame, petition to task, mediate the fracases and even a male boss that would lay down a law of function (this female boss had major conflict aversion).

Chapin will know which one I refer to. I'll ask him.

  • Women cannot be expected to compete and succeed at a game designed for men. Women have so many other gifts and talents that are not recognized by "business." Also, women don't want to be men. They drop out of the game after they realize it doesn't feel right to try and be a man.

  • @memilybaldwin

It was not designed "for" men. It is designed by competition. This resorting to gender as default excuse is just feeble-minded bullshit. Ooo the glass ceiling! Funny that someone needs to explain this Glass Ceiling to the female CEOs that exist. In this equality=equal-outcome indoctrinated subculture of ideological buffoons, the glass ceiling will be there until half the CEOs are women. And while they bemoan the burden of children (and competition) limiting them.

  • @memilybaldwin

Oddly, they don't seem to be rushing to the family courts to bestow equal parental rights upon men, to liberate themselves of this burden. No, it's all about a game designed FOR men.

The average feminist has a PhD in Cognitive Dissonance.

  • @memilybaldwin

Ironically, the only time the "game" is "designed" for anyone designated by gender, is when they start rigging it to usher more women into the workforces. Only the cozy ones however. These liberated ladies seem none to enthusiastic about equality down the mine-shaft.

The workforce of today, is derived of a trend that derives of a time when women didn't consider wanting to participate in the workforce, because of how much of it was horrible work. In come the offices. WE WANT!

  • Oh come on. hahahah Glass ceiling??

  • Men and Women are equal but not the same.

This is not a facile discussion; women have historically been expected to look after the family with men expected to work.

The simple answer is that these classical roles would have to be reversed for women to 'succeed' otherwise the family institution would break down. (of course hiring nannies is another option and would allow both genders to work).

  • No one in the history of the world has ever been equal to anyone.

  • I think Men can bear and raise children more often then we can have true equality. Remember you have to be in the other's shoes in order to reallly appreciate the other's greatness. Without taking these tasks, men would never really empathize women, just sympathize with them.

  • : )

  • Iceland have the 2nd greatest gender equality governement in the world...this may be due to the prime minister being a Lesbian...or women being as good as men... the first is much more likely..

  • Nope

  • But the question posed in this clip is merely "can" women succeed. And the answer is proven as "yes". Although of course it only gives one definition of success.

  • I come from a family of professional, highly successful women. My business loves hiring women after they've had children: they are highly responsible.

At every company I've worked at, there are senior female managers everywhere.

In Iceland they are deliberately installing female leaders and bosses.

When I hear about the "glass ceiling" for women, I can't believe the debate hasn't moved on. Thatcher & Merkel prove that women can get to the top.

Is there another world that I am unaware of?

  • yeah but individual cases like thatcher and merkel don't say anything about the larger picture. the facts paint a different picture.

  • While a lot of businesses to take care of hiring females and making sure gender quality is present, it is still hard to see the figures.

Where the female workforce are very high percentage-wise, these are mainly in part time service sector. And where positions of power are still predominantly male.

There is no way to move on with the debate when problems are no where near getting deminished.

  • I blame canada.
