Yes the one thing i am MOST exited about would have to be that you can go from 1-40 on either PvE or RvR and recieve gold, items, and exp in general, and i also love the fact that RvR in your leveling areas are only able to be played in if you chose to be there, that means no more random gankings and that there is more than just; enter area/kill players there is also lots of variety and integrated play in this game weither it be from RvR or PvE, i love it. Just what ive been waiting for.
I also cant wait for Diablo 3 to come out too btw - Sorry for dissing blizzard they're not bad at all :), im just so damn exited for these new games coming out!!! cant wait

Just preordered the collectors edition today. Just give an update to everyone that cares. With the collectors edition you get access to open beta, and a head start in live play before everyone else. You also get 2 items. The one that everyone with collectors edition gets Rittenbach's portable camp, wich lets you rest and heal between battles. The 2nd in game items are different depending on where you pr-ordered from.
The first 10 minutes of the game discussion was great to hear. I'm so glad they realize that those first few minutes to few hours of a game makes or breaks it for a player. One should not have to give a full day or several days or even the month to know if they'll like a game.

Do somebody know if this game is going to have a "General chat" that everyone of ur faction can see? If not, I think it would be much cooler if you saw an army of the opposite faction coming to sack your capital, you had to ride to the city and warn them all by yourself. :p

That is the reason why I will proceed to buy Warhammer Online and enjoy it. I fully enjoy the tabletop as it is.
Yes, you have the ability to do PvE, which World of Warcraft focuses on, and PvP which is what Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is based on.
The game mechanics on WAR allow you to play through the game either through pure PvE or PvP, however the characters that do both will be able to get through the tiers faster than those who focus on only one aspect of the game.
There are also things like crafting which are random and fun. Optional quests as well that allow the player full freedom within.
I think RvR is more what WAR is based on. RvR is when you and your buddies try and conquer someone else's land. Which really is PvP, plus the bonus of actually taking ownership of the city you conquer.
If RvR is all its cracked up to be this game should give some competition to WoW, its to late to ever catch that 10Mil plus mark though being realistic, its looking dam good though, when its ready in summer(if iam correct) ill definetly give it a try.
Open Beta is this summer. The game comes out in November. You can pre-order the Collector's Edition and be guaranteed a spot in Open Beta... i'm going to be using that time to figure out which class I want to play cause they all look amazing

I've been waiting for the release for along time, i've pre-ordered the collectors edition to ensure i'm first in line. the game should be coming out q2 2008 any time from April-June. What I know they might have it downloadable from there website but I could be wrong but I know 100% you be able to buy it from a store when it does come out.

I would expect WAR to beat world of warcraft overtime but Age of Conan will be the best out of the three because its a fresh take on MMORPGs. This game looks a lot smoother than WoW but its still just macro mashing bullshit which gets boring after the first two weeks.
WoW's PvE sucks, except for raiding and instancing can be fun sometimes, but questing in WoW is horibly boring, this games PvE and questing will be AWESOME

WoW's PvE gets repetitive after you're making your 2nd 70. You realize that Blizzard basically uses the same base for each monster but gives it a slightly different skin. Also, they seem to all make the same sound. One of my friends is in the WAR Beta and yes there are some glitches but I loved the PvE. He already has a max level character so i was able to PvP on him and yes, the PvP is loads better then WoW. WoW's pvp sucked first off. Anyhow, WAR looks loads better then WoW.

All who says that wow= pve, then u shall play Everquest instead. I got friends in my class, which play Eq and i play wow. Wow and arena and evrything thats pvp. WAR doess rly look like wow, first when i heard it i didnt think so but now i see it OMG!. Abit same modul(not rly but a litte) The pole is the same. Check the map, mountains looks the same as wow. If you want to raid with a guild and fight boss monsters, you're going to want to play wow. However, if you are playing wow and really all you do is log on and go to a battleground/arena you're probably going to want to consider switching over to WAR.

WoW's PvP was fucking retarded.. it was just an endless grind to better gear and once you had it, the pvp was boring as hell. If anyone bashes WAR, they obviously havent played DAoC because RvR is actually fun and has a PURPOSE.. the more you pvp you get renown, which adds up and you gain renown ranks and renown points to buy renown abilities.. I LOVED DAoC

I'm saying Blizzard is always doing patches in WoW, buffing the hell out of some classes, and destroying other classes. Warlocks are way too OP, Blizzard will never fix that, and awhile ago they buffed hunters too much. They will never know when to stop. And Warhammer has smart makers, they know how to balance.

There is a vid on what types of mounts there will be in game. Goblins ride boars, and dwarfs ride some steam-powered engine mount. Others seem to ride horses but there are others that have not been mentioned
To enlighten on racial level development, orcs grow bigger and darker, Dwarf beards grow longer Dwarf females have longer platted features and such on their hair, goblin's eyes glow green, Humans and Chaos are vague but grow genrally fancier and the Elvish features aren't currently clear.
not just black orcs all orcs grow with each lvl only orcs grow i think BUT all reces have some way of showin the lvl on the car for dwarfs its the beards grow i dont know the other reces

personally i played WoW, it was an ok game, expected more tho from the grindfest i got.
and WoW didnt set a line, it just turned out to be a game people like, and was easy to use.

If RvR is all its cracked up to be this game should give some competition to WoW, its to late to ever catch that 10Mil plus mark though being realistic, its looking dam good though, when its ready in summer(if iam correct) ill definetly give it a try.

Open Beta is this summer. The game comes out in November. You can pre-order the Collector's Edition and be guaranteed a spot in Open Beta... i'm going to be using that time to figure out which class I want to play cause they all look amazing

Yes, its got an action bar, a map, a 3rd person character, quests, PvP, dungeons. This is just a lame wow clone /rolleyes. Go back to playing world of warcrap and enjoy repeating the same ten levels over and over.
The only good thing about WoW is that many mmo's will copy it and flunk, causing the mmo developers to actually have to innovate in 5-10 years from now. Maybe we'll eventually get back to the good games that came before WoW and offered a deeper experience...

Agree on the looks, though, gameplay is probably more important than graphics.
But im pretty much confinced that mythic will do a great job hearing from people that played DAoC and from the beta testers.

This game looks really good for only being in beta, I think this games RvR=pvp is going to kick ass but the pve (from the looks of the vid) looks kinda the same to WoW. I do think this games gonna rip a new one to AOC and I hope it does!

wow your ignorant, first of all blizzard and gamesworkshop used to be the same company and gamesworkshop copyrighted almost all their ideas which is why blizzard pays them royalty for many games including starcraft which is almost identical to warhammer40k, and mythic was making mmo's way b4 wow

This game looks godly - i've researched the hell out of it, it's taken the idea of WoW and warped it into a much more intensive and player-friendly game. I've been waiting for the release for along time, i've pre-ordered the collectors edition to ensure i'm first in line. I've played WoW for a good 2 years, and it's been fun but i'm ready for something new and fresh. This really looks like a breakthrough for me!

I think wats happaned here is that when WoW took some of the ideas....well alot of the ideas from warhammer warhammer decided tyo fight back with this version of thier games to compete aganist a title which eventhough doesnt suck has taken ideas and is more marketed then warhammer.I just hope this wont be repetetive.

the game should be coming out q2 2008 any time from April-June. What I know they might have it downloadable from there website but I could be wrong but I know 100% you be able to buy it from a store when it does come out.

I would expect WAR to beat world of warcraft overtime but Age of Conan will be the best out of the three because its a fresh take on MMORPGs. This game looks a lot smoother than WoW but its still just macro mashing bullshit which gets boring after the first two weeks.

Yeah, there are 3 mounts per race at present, one light, one medium, and one heavily-armored one.
On a side note.. Why does every single WAR video have page after page of whinging WoW fanbois screaming 'THIS GAME WILL SUCK, I SWARE IT!' etc..?

WoW's PvE gets repetitive after you're making your 2nd 70. You realize that Blizzard basically uses the same base for each monster but gives it a slightly different skin. Also, they seem to all make the same sound. One of my friends is in the WAR Beta and yes there are some glitches but I loved the PvE. He already has a max level character so i was able to PvP on him and yes, the PvP is loads better then WoW. WoW's pvp sucked first off. Anyhow, WAR looks loads better then WoW.

All who says that wow= pve, then u shall play Everquest instead. I got friends in my class, which play Eq and i play wow. Wow and arena and evrything thats pvp. WAR doess rly look like wow, first when i heard it i didnt think so but now i see it OMG!. Abit same modul(not rly but a litte) The pole is the same. Check the map, mountains looks the same as wow. Minimap, but many doess have that minimap. I guess its looks to much as wow. AGE OF CONAN FTW!! There we talking PVP if u want pvp!!!!!!!!!!!

WAR = RvR (PvP, only cooler)
WoW = PVE/RP
I don't know about RP in WAR, but with all the cool environment I would almost be dissapointed if two mighty Chaos were standing talking about Arsenal vs Man. United game yesterday... But there will always be that kind of idiots aswell. But I will play both WOW and WAR.
WoW for my rp and raiding

Guys this game is gonna be kickass! expecally for the players who love PVP you cant judge this game over looking like level 15 characters If you see wow's lvl15 action its pretty much the same. Its the only game im looking forward to play. I played wow over a year and i got burn out cause of the "epic grind" to be able to be on the top. I hope this game dosent dissepoint me. I enjoy pvp a lot!

Wow = PVE
WAR = PVP
If you want to raid with a guild and fight boss monsters, you're going to want to play wow. However, if you are playing wow and really all you do is log on and go to a battleground/arena you're probably going to want to consider switching over to WAR.

WoW's PvP was fucking retarded.. it was just an endless grind to better gear and once you had it, the pvp was boring as hell. If anyone bashes WAR, they obviously havent played DAoC because RvR is actually fun and has a PURPOSE.. the more you pvp you get renown, which adds up and you gain renown ranks and renown points to buy renown abilities.. I LOVED DAoC

I like wow very much, but after 4 years playing ive sold my account and i think its great that aoc and war is coming out now.
But if i should be honest i think this game wont be that good after all. What i really look forward to is AOC :)

lambofmarilynmanson, I played wow from the time it came out until like end of January of 2008. I'm saying Blizzard is always doing patches in WoW, buffing the hell out of some classes, and destroying other classes. Warlocks are way too OP, Blizzard will never fix that, and awhile ago they buffed hunters too much. They will never know when to stop. And Warhammer has smart makers, they know how to balance.

Martijnvee, 3 letters L O L. Warhammer is way way way better than World of Warcraft. This game actually has balance, and COMPLETELY better pvp system that none of these MMO's have, that is, RVR. Blizzard is always doing these dumb patches, buffing the hell out of 1 class, then nerfing another. And the expansions are always going to be the same, 1 new end raid most people cant get to, because to gear-dependent, and always raising level cap. Wow has like 9 classes, WAR has 24, all different.GO WAR

I'm pretty sure this is going to be roughly $15 a month (£7.99 & €10.2). So to basically sum this up this game is going to be better than WoW, cheaper than WoW, and more eye candy than WoW. WoW, i see WoW tripping after this is released.

There is a vid on what types of mounts there will be in game. Goblins ride boars, and dwarfs ride some steam-powered engine mount. Others seem to ride horses but there are others that have not been mentioned

They have designed over 12 mounts, 2 for each class, and all 12 mounts have 5 unique colors and you can customize them with trophies won in PvP

To enlighten on racial level development, orcs grow bigger and darker, Dwarf beards grow longer Dwarf females have longer platted features and such on their hair, goblin's eyes glow green, Humans and Chaos are vague but grow genrally fancier and the Elvish features aren't currently clear.

not just black orcs all orcs grow with each lvl only orcs grow i think BUT all reces have some way of showin the lvl on the car for dwarfs its the beards grow i dont know the other reces
