  • 3:02 ----> YEAH!!!!!!!

  • angus is god

  • Wha>? Wait. AC/DC were opening for Cheap Trick?! What a strange world we live in. Shoulda been the other way around if anything!!!

  • I love AC/DC but this version of this classic iis shite. Leave it to Chuck Berry

  • Hard Rock version

  • Damn, so many people are hating this cover. I think it fucking rocks, I say it's on par with Hendrix's cover, which I believe both are better than the original. (Can't wait for the comments I'm gonna get for saying that)

  • good solo though

  • I think this is great... but of course it will always be Chuck Berrys song!!!

  • Relax,,, Geesss,,,it's two bands having fun playing a tune

  • Chuck Berry's was not a version was the original

  • Tributo a la inspiración !!

  • Angus plays this absolute crap worst version ever.

  • Oh, I forgot... Angus and Cheap Trick's lead guitarist (sorry forgot his name) messed up the intro something fierce for some reason. Great mini solo by Ang in the very start of the vid though!

  • Love AC/DC and kinda like Cheap Trick, but i gotta say... that was really bad. I mean Bon didn't sound normal for some reason. Anyways, i think someone else said on here that too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the soup... and that's about right. BUT, ya'll SHOULD check out AC/DC's cover of School Days... Rock 'N Roll to a T.

  • there is no 4:47 maybe we miss the best part ;)

  • shut the fuck up dorks. this is the best version of johnny

  • @ProudWilly It sucks! no wonder why Chuck plays this song!!! Changing the rhythm is not always good

  • FUCK ROCK N ROLL FUCK AC/DC WORST COVER OF JOHNNY B GOODE

  • @plushoom You should hear judas priest do it on there Ram It Down Album thats the worst cover I've heard of this song.

  • @plushoom I oughta kick you in the balls or ovaries for saying that.

  • @plushoom screw you angus is the greatest guitar player in the world along with van halen, james hetfield, kirk hammett, and slash!

  • @TheACDCsuperfan97

I dont care of virtuosity, I want emotions. There is no emotion in this cover.

  • Damn I still miss the bonny wee scot...long live the Bonfire!

  • not better. tanx 4 sound.

  • Too many cooks spoil the broth. Simplicity is always best.

  • non si può sentire..

  • E P I C ! !

  • Is it only Bon from AC/DC? Or is angus and them in here too?

  • @962rocker malcolm and angus too dude, read the description.

  • did anyone else notice the username is dean winchester from supernatural lol

  • stop f..ink squabbling guys , whoever covers this song does thie best to pay hommage to chuck, some miss the mark others get it spot on. This is a good cover, it makes yer toes tap don't it?

  • @MrBrewbunny We aren't! I thought we were myself, but then it was cleared up that it was a misunderstanding lol!!!

  • The best of the best have tried to cover this...but they just cant match the original greatness IMO, Judas Priest, AC/DC, (though I hate these next guys, they are popular) Green Day. None of them have quite captured what made the original great.

  • @GTAfan421 Too true but the fact that they do it is a tribute to the original and not an insult. how can anybody not rock out to this no matter who does it?

  • @yetitracker I didnt say that you couldnt rock out to it, I said that they cant match the greatness!

  • @GTAfan421 I know....I wasn't arguing with ya...then I saw the Green day version...it is possible to fuck this song up!

  • @yetitracker Yeah...the Green Day version needs to D. I. E.

    BADLY.

  • @GTAfan421 WAIT....Green Gay did a remake of Johnny B Good?

Omg I bet they butchered that song alive....

  • @ImTheDude909 Completely and totally.

  • God, I'd love to see a video of this.

  • voice of God

    1

  • voice of God

  • chuck berry couldnt come close to johnny lee hooker

  • fuck ac dc, noise, chuck does better

  • @tiitoo21 screw you sure its not as good but dont hate it

  • for something really different try the Peter Tosh version.

  • marty's version is the best

  • not bad.... but chuck berry's version is way better

  • sorry...but....sorry...chuck is better..I guess marvin (LOL) must be even better..lol..anyway...acdc..livin legends R.I.P. Mr. Bon Scott

  • im a acdc fan. But this is fucking crap delux...

  • Judas priest got a kewl version!

  • HOME TOWN REPRESENT

  • its great to hear such a good song made so much better by the addition of bon, malcom, and angus.

  • What are you talking about? Listen to the Instrumentation - it's pure awesome. It's just Bon who's not taking his singing seriously. Why should he?

  • Young's my go to guy but id still give #1 cover to Jimi

  • AC/DC were supporting cheap trick? Thats like saying the Rolling stones were supporting lynyrd skynyrd, both great bands but hey lets put the bong down for a 5 minutes. I would have thought that by 79 AC/DC had enough cred not to be a supporting act......

  • @MyNameisReece they broke out after back in black brahh

  • i noticed cheap trick was there playin, too. why has nobody mentioned them, as they are great?

  • AC/DC aren't supposed to sound perfect live. The guitars and the sound quality is supposed to be choppy like that. That's real rock n' roll. They're performers and care more about performing for the crowd and giving them a good show. Food from their eyes to their hard rockin' brains. Plus Bon is from here in Oz so he was probably annihilated on Bundy during this.

  • Cheap Trick!

  • I believe this is the best cover of Johnny B. Goode. The best thing about AC/DC's covers is that they are actual covers, made in their own style. Jimi's version comes second.

  • mp3 track there?

  • Judas Priest does the BEST version.

  • rape!

  • I loved....

  • Might not be the best version but it could certainly be the worst.

  • OUAAHOUUU !! ♥

  • Maybe not the greatest version but I mean it's cool to see them do an original song such as this :P tyvm

  • Robin Zander makes this song, sorry ACDC...CHEAP TRICK!

  • me encanta AC/DC y me encanta esta cancion!!! (L)

  • ACDC I love you but that sucked

  • Cheap Trick sucks

  • Bon Scott and Robin Zander sounds greats. Good version, hight power

  • I love both of these bands but this the absolute worse cover of any tune I have ever heard. Bury this. Deep.

  • @VenetaTownMayor That's cause it's a live performance

  • @osckycheri I've heard and been present at plenty of great live performances...this is most certainly not one of them.

  • Great song, Great writer, Great cover, great bands!!!

  • Elvis may be the King of Rock n Roll, but my friends Chuck Berry damn near single handedly created it! I gotta see him again before he goes on to rock n roll heaven!

  • fuck the guitars are wicked on this!

  • 54 people have no balls.

  • @Charlie42396 and 517 people have Big Balls

  • martin luther who? chuck berry is the greatest black man everrrrrrr!

  • ahhh sometimes i get bored of this music and go listen to some relly heavy music like slipknot metallica bullet for my valentine ( btw all of them are AMZING BAND) but wen i hear this music it reminds me the music i relly love <3 THANK U ACDC

  • AC/DC supporting Cheap Trick? LOL

  • @MrRedWyrm no shit. thats like the ramones opening for green day.

  • 2:14 ... OMG :-D love that pic xD

  • @banished8910 got a thing for lumberjacks do we?

  • @deathboy998 lol :-D do I know you? :-)

  • HEY chuck its MARVIN your cousin Marvin berry remember that new sound your looking for....well listen to this!!

  • @lewfc2011 back to the future!

  • @lewfc2011 This is a W1N!

  • @lewfc2011 took the words right out of my mouth.

  • @lewfc2011 is it from Simpsons?

  • @MegaFromhell simpsons might have parodied it but its from back to the future

  • chuck berry the best

  • this is awesome!R.I.P bon scott

  • Ah, Bon Scott. Sweet.

  • I'm not too nuts about Bon's vocals on this recording but the tempo is good. The Beatles cover is way too slow.

  • best cover but still the orginal is way ahead

  • Chuck. The father of rock n' roll.

  • why post a ''video'' IF ITS NOT ONE

  • @classicrockfan14 because there is only audio for it, no video, so instead to publically showcase this rarity the author had to stick the audio with a slideshow of pictures :)

  • ya this one isnt so good but green days is so much better

  • where is the video of this??? what do they go "Oh my God" near the end, what happened. does anyone have this video? awsome cover.

  • Not bad. Not great.

  • i really love acdc...but don't like this cover very much!!!ACDC ROCK ON FOREVER...peace man

  • this is pretty bad... I mean Iove Ak Duc but man...

  • af pai

  • gREAT VID!

go to khowardphotoart to see the real ghost of Jimi Hendrix

  • Long live Bon and fuckin FREMANTLE Bon has paved the way for us Fremantle bands!

  • @DesertshipBand agreed

  • I would like to see this live.

  • That aint Brian Johnston. That's Bon.

  • muyyyyy buenooosososososo

  • bad cover

  • cheap trick supported them not the other way round.

  • sounds terrible

  • im struggling to understand how AC/DC could have been a support band!!!! :P they kick eveyones ass

  • hey, they had to start somewhere

  • This sure is one KICKASS rendition and Chuckle Berry would be most impressed I reckon!!! Love the Kwaka Z900! As Zephyr750rebel writes below 'Immortal...like Bon Scott!'. AccaDacca are actually playing even BETTER now than they were in the '70's so doesn't that say something about how good they are??? THE BEST!

  • @Blackscorpion1963 Hell yeah! I saw them at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta in October and they are STILL kickass!

  • @sprtn117c I WAS THERE TOO! BEST CONCERT EVER, ALMOST DIDNT GO CUZ OF FINALS, BUT GLAD I WENT. BEST NIGHT EVER

  • yeah. brian's voice doesnt sound well in this song, and its too far from the original one.

by the way this is just my opinion, so dont start sending me messages telling me how stupid i am, i love greenday and acdc.

  • Even though Priest and Acca Dacca are some of my favorites, neither one can play this song for shit. Chuck Berry is the godfather of rock!

  • @TexRitterRidesAgain i think robert johnson is;)

  • @TexRitterRidesAgain

Oh, AC/DC can cover Chuck Berry quite decent! Especially Angus!

(though, this is probably not their best cover). AC/DC's cover of School Days is awsome! But agreed, mr Berry is the godfather!

  • @TexRitterRidesAgain AC?DC not Acca Dacca

  • @TheEJDavies acca dacca is the aussie nickname for AC/DC.

  • @TexRitterRidesAgain check out the Green Day version... not 1/2-bad.

  • @TexRitterRidesAgain Even michael j fox sounded better

  • @contact1araya lol you do know that was recorded and he didnt actually sing that he lip sang?

  • @contact1araya Love ACDC but Johnny Winter does the best version of Johnny B Goode.

  • @BBQFanNo1

Chuck Berry does the best version

  • @CletusColtrane Jimi's is preatty good too.

  • @CletusColtrane naa jimmy hendrix this versions crap

  • @CletusColtrane He's author of johnny b. good

  • @CletusColtrane can't disagree :D

  • @CletusColtrane Judas Priest's is GREAT!!

  • @CletusColtrane Chuck IS Johnny B. Goode, but it's named for his great, undersung, late piano man Johnnie Johnson.

  • @CletusColtrane Yeah when He's not too busy collecting shit samples from his restaraunts toilets and putting it in little containers and getting arrested for it.Yeah...other than that he's great.

  • @70goldtop

I'll leave the crap talk for you, I'm just worried about the playing

  • @TexRitterRidesAgain true that, but remember Angus is a fan of Chuck Berry to the death... :)

  • @TexRitterRidesAgain Chuck Berry didn't write this song ..

  • @tomandz4 fuck yea he did

  • @tomandz4 yea the fuck he did

  • @Dixoncheesepuffs Um, no... He clearly stole the song from Marty Mcfly.

  • @Arrowman568 haha maybe in a movie

  • @TexRitterRidesAgain agreed. He pretty much was the original. And the Judas Priest version(no offense cuz I love them) is horrible.

  • @TexRitterRidesAgain

    Hendrix. End of.

  • @TexRitterRidesAgain THE KING!:)

  • @TexRitterRidesAgain wow man chuk stole this song from marty mcfly remeber he got a call from his brother marvin so tehnicly mcfly is godfather of rock XD

  • i agree JP cover of johnny b. goode kicks ass

  • Needs more cowbell.

  • yeah it would sound better with more cowbell, give it a bit more omph

  • @TomCruiseHere I have a fever, and the only prescription, is more cowbell!

  • @TomCruiseHere LOLOL That was the funniest thing i've read all day. Thanks.

  • @TomCruiseHere ROFL !

  • @TomCruiseHere haha, i have that t-shirt from the show

  • Try Sin City by AC/DC

  • 01:28 Kawasaki Z

    Inmortal like Bon.

  • Hly shit I lived in Sioux Falls at this time! Damn...wish I would have known about this....but I was only 14 so probably couldn't go.....lol

  • Angus lives in Holland Aalten !!

And he is a great fan of Jovink , his neightboures !!

  • @theinternetpreacher take your religious Bible thumping bullshit somewhere else. We don't want you or it here

  • love ac/dc

  • I think in 1979 Cheap Trick was most likely the headliner since their "Live at Budokan" went triple platinum. I saw Cheap Trick in 1979 and they were big. Could've been a double headliner as well.

  • @BPrune1 Right you are, Cheap Trick was headlining.

  • Wow. Listen To How Much Stronger Robin's Voice Is Compared To Bon.

  • Man i love listening the the classic's EVEN 50-60 years later wow just mind blowing!

  • crap i wish i was there

  • Hopefully one day Alberts records in Australia will release the live recordings they have of Angus and Bon getting up on stage and jamming with Rose Tattoo at their gigs in Australia round 1976-1977.

  • God, I would have loved to be at this show.

  • Okay to clear this up

Cheap Tricks whole band was on stage

    Bon Scott was lead vocals

    Angus was the lead guitar

    there is no arguing it

    Phil is not on drums

because it sounds nothing like his drumming

i have been an AC/DC fan my whole life

that is definitely Bon and Angus 110% sure

  • Could not agree more. The backing vocals, however, are not Cliff and Malcolm. Or maybe they are, but there's somebody else

  • @scorpionkings

This is not phil rudd, probably the cheap trick guy
