Imam Ibn al-Jawzi in his biographies of the awliya "Sifat al-safwa" lists many of those at whose graves tabarruk (seeking blessing) and tawassul is recommended. He writes about Ma`ruf al-Karkhi (d. 200H):
"His grave can be seen in Baghdad, and one seeks blessings with it. al-Hafiz Ibrahim al-Harbi (d. 285H) - Imam Ahmad's companion - used to say: Ma`ruf's grave is proven medicine" (2:214)
Ibn al-Jawzi adds: "WE OURSELVES go to Ibrahim al-Harbi's grave and seek blessings with it" (2:410)!
You can see in the news the wahabi salafi taliban has attacked this shrine aswell as others. Your hertiage and shrines will be destoryed by these islamics if you dont defend your heritage.
Its not true. Taliban are peaceful chaps. They didn't do any harm to it. Its safe and sound and Buner is now more peaceful than it was before taliban's arrival.
Its true.Talibans are butchers & women haters.They are slitting throats of innocent men & women ,whom they dislike.Even harmless shrines like "Rehman Baba" was bombed by these peaceful Talibans.Now,this shrine also is been taken over.
