@Avaldemon dude, if you would have read the caption it saids that it was a spontaneousness event..... so what if they missed some words... its spontaneousness... hell I love the song (not John Lennon's voice thought) and i don't know all of the words...so please do everyone a favor and leave your mean, smart-ass remarks UNPOSTED! thanks....
If you don't know all the words then you miss half the meaning of the song and maybe even the whole meaning. And I did say the performance was great. I said the fault is with the teacher regarding the lyrics, not with the kids. Most often truth is sharp and painful.
@Avaldemon Because it was an improv... you don't sit down an learn all the words when things just happen... It's people like you that are making teaching so hard.. people like you that have to attack teachers.... "Most often the truth is sharp and painful." well this is true but then it comes to comments on youtube and kids you don't have to point out all of the small imperfections.
What a BEAUTIFUL version of this Universal song. As a musician, teacher, writer, designer, Diva and Universal being, this trancendes me INTO the music and voice. A place where, if you just close your eyes, open your mind and heart, one can truly feel the innocence and beauty these kids present ........M.Y.N.W.A.......
This really was one of the coolest moments for us, ever. We had never sung this song before, ever, so everything we did was completely improvised, but it was pretty easy to figure out what to do when you're accompanying such amazing musicians as Mr. B and the PS22 Chorus!
I could imagine this ps22 choir at last nights speech by president Obama in Tucson, AZ. You kids would have had everyone crying. Great job guys, such an inspiration!
even though this was a spontaneous collaboration...I think I actually liked this better than the "firework" cover. oh and of course it helps that azaria is like, my favorite :)
I live right near Ithaca and love Ithaca College, so it's super cool to see them collaborate with you guys, whom I love. Great job, as always. I wish my chorus sounded like this when I was in elementary.
In Australia, where floods have destroyed one of our major cities, and will ruin our economy...our lives...we thankyou for this beautiful performance which eases our souls.
I love when these kids sing, but I do worry for the soloists voices in the future, they belt out these amazing solos but look like they are straining themselves! I don't want their voices ruined in the future cause they have rly rly special talents!!
arent the kids religious..........?

John Lennon would probably not be as proud as many of you think.
Why did you mutilate the song? You left out the whole part of it. You cannot cherry pick the parts you like and leave the part you don't out.
I love the chorus and the performance. It is wrong to leave out the rest of the song on teachers part . Do the kids even know the rest?
"Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
