Its all in the heart and musicality of the player. You can play the same notes at the same time but still never be the same as the originator. Its not possible. But its great to try!
i reckon a lot of us would seriously love it if you got michael to do WORLD KEEPS ON TURNING, the EXACT live version at the boston tea party, you could put it on your website and sell it as a single lesson, i'd buy it. c'mon lick library! PLEASE!!!
Spot on cover, whats great about Peter is that he only used that one pattern and it still sounds more tasteful and soulful then todays guitar players, sad really..
Fleetwood Mac played this song way back in the day...this guy has all the notes right, he has all the effects going but is it just me or does it lack the feeling and passion that make the song so great in the first place? The emotion is everything man!
hi vaibanez, yes, I'll agree there's something missing in the 'performance' but this is down to context - put this guy into a live situ and I'm sure he'll sound pretty emotive and in the spirit of it. That helps a great deal, as I'm sure you know...
Peter Green wrote the song when he was still in Fleetwood Mac back in 1968, and it was covered two years later in 1970 by Santana with a different arrangement. Most people assume Carlos wrote it because it's the better known version of the song, but it's definitely a Peter Green composition..
You are absolutely correct about that sir and I thank you for correcting me. You are also correct in saying most people assume Carlos wrote it, as he was most formidable in making it a famous song, as did I. Many thanks!
People need to realise that it was by Peter Green and Fleetwood Mac so people can be introduced to the greats again. (Can you make a lesson because everyone does the Santana version in lessons).
at 0:09 to about 0:11 what is he doing (somekind of pull off i know) but can someone please write me a semi detailed description of it...
please...

acrmd 1 year ago
@vaibanez17: Man, Peter Green was a GOD. No one can play with such level of emotions just by coping the exact notes of the solo.
Greens music == his personality. That's what makes his music so sincere and moving.
