  • It's gonna be a big...bummer!

  • "Do you understand English" isn't necessarily a dickish thing to say depending on where they were playing. Where was the show?

  • Sounds like my professor.

  • @gregboyds

Sorry pal you are a sucker.

  • @Darrylizer1 Oh wait, you are America, which just makes you yet another castrated, limp-wristed, psychologically mixed up, ass-licking jerkwad who believes he's such a "liberated progressive", since people without minds of their own always follow in the lead of phony, meaningless rebellion.

  • @xreddragonx

You're a truly sad person and none too bright as well. I pity you.

  • @Darrylizer1 Way to be suckered by the obvious troll bait into posting something way stupider than the troll post itself. Stupid uneducated, America-obsessed(that poster could have been from anywhere), internet fucking numbskull.

  • @xreddragonx

Well you are an obvious idiot. Thanks for making that clear.

  • Damn Canadians! Always flying off the handle!

  • He's Geddy Lee. He can do whatever the fuck he wants.

  • stop squid mein pinball wizard 2013

    watch?v=zAKglc2loK4&feature=related

    gate of the year

  • Do you understand english?

  • What is Geddy Lee commenting here?

  • Geddy, seriously, it's a family show. Cut down the vulgarities

  • @kennyonthe12th

    best f=bomb ever eleven gorge

    know worries, ain't got mine

  • That's gonna be a big bummeerrrrrrrr!

  • Geddys gotta cut down the foul language lol

  • how did this suddenly get into a political discussion?

  • not as bad as when roger waters stoped his song

    to yell at his audience

  • It really doesn't sound like he's mad. It sounds like he's trying to reason with the audience. To say he's mad is just flat out silly...

  • @mcblahflooper94 stop your whining.

  • /watch?v=I5agCr45Ev4&feature=g-all-lik&context=G2550b73FAAAAAAAAKAA

heres the cartoon version WATCH THIS!!!

  • @svector I kind of assumed that the reason he was concerned about the stage collapsing was that he was afraid people were going to get hurt. Geddy doesn't cross the line at all here; most rock stars wouldn't have been nearly this polite about this.

  • Wait someone thinks we get over taxed? For real? If you think ours is bad then you need to go live.... ok nevermind.

  • Move back....as he hits a few notes on the synth bass!!

  • @svecter what would you prefer? he tell everyone that's pushing to go f**k themselves or something?

  • Heh, heh, heh. Talk about being cool. Man, I would have been so pissed. "do you speak English.". Hah. I liked him before, but now I love him.

  • Geddy Lee is the man, polite canadians eh

  • lol this is anger?

  • whoa, he needs to take a chill pill

  • @JsRf13 no shit-i thought Hitler had problems!!!

  • @blitzshriek999 a big bummer?! this guy needs to watch his language

  • @JsRf13 i replied in a joking way, figuring you HAD TO BE KIDDING...mayb u need to th chill pill, or at least smarten up-in th rock world, this guy's a saint!

  • @JsRf13 wtf r u talkin about-"a big bummer"?

  • @blitzshriek999 lol dude I'm joking as well

  • @JsRf13 dude-you're killin me over here! :) but seriously, thaz a relief, I was fixin to SAY!....

  • Seen George Thorogood back in 1986 at St Cloud U of MN. stage buckled, they stopped the show and told us the same thing, finally as we complied to the request of one large step or two small steps back the show continued, only shortly to stop for good due to a curtain catching fire, man I was so high, maybe I imagined it all...some good times.

  • fugly Jew nerd is pissed

  • Ish gonna be a big BUMMMMER!

  • when the dragons grow too mighty to slay with pen or sword...

no YOU've gotta say farewell to kings

    /watch?v=0tViHEQlutU&feature=results_main&playnext=1&list=PL0D93F1C516C1D9AC

  • At least he doesn't get as pissed as Roger Waters, make him louder less free wheeling and put a piss or a fuck in there he still couldn't pull off a Roger...

  • @MrStark3y Lol yea he would have to spit on someone and then write a freaking epic album.

  • He's Canadian, that's as mad as he gets. (=

  • Geddy getting mad is still reserved and calm and professional unlike Gene Simmons, who is a viper and rude to all of his fans.

  • if him and john lennon were in a band together it would be hard to tell who is who lol

  • @lighhtningking i'd just look for the dead one...

  • LOL it's going to be more than a big bummer

  • u mad, Geddy? he so mad

  • hahaha ENGLISH MOTHERFUCKER DO YOU SPEAK IT lol jkjk

  • @TheMagicOfNutella Your English License has been revoked!

  • Was that in Brazil? When?

  • this is mad? Henry Rollins used to hit people in the audience. Gotta love Geddy

  • Geddy is such a mean horrible guy ;) haha, that's hilarious to say.. Geddy is absolutely perfect. a stage collapsed with pearl jam before too, causing some deaths. The band was devastated..

  • Geddy scolded the audience at a show i saw in toledo ohio for throwing glow sticks. He said someone could "get an eye poked oot".

  • id say he handled this better than axl rose or dave grohl (all respect to dave grohl though)

  • Who thought this would be a fake?

  • He had a right to get upset by whatever crowd this is. That's a bad thing and he had to stop it.

  • Brazilians and their pushing!

  • Lol Lee rocks, he wasn't an ass about it either, he was keeping a disaster from happening

  • I would say he was looking out for everyone's safety, he wasn't being mean just using common sense as he was probably the best judge that something might happen in a bad way if the crowd didn't back off .

  • doesn't sound mad to me, he probably is though.I certainly would be. Geddy Lee is the true-to-the-world "Ace of deBASS"

  • Nevermind, the coolest guy on the earth

  • Didn't sound like he was too pissed to me. Just trying to keep everyone safe.

  • @MrJobu73

We don't tend to get all violent abusive a'la James, Eddie, Axl Pose, etc etc

  • Geddy and Alex seem like the nicest guys ever. Neil is probably too but he is very unavailable. it is amazing the band was influenced by The Who a band that just had no respect for anything. Rush never participated in any of the typical rock and roll shenanigans which ended up killing so many great young talents and they always teated their audiences w/respect. The opposite of Guns n' Roses and so many others.

  • @eqsmooth Guns n' Roses? LMAO! BUMS AND BOZO"S! LMAO! I YE I YE I YE! BAHAHAHAH!!!!

  • @eqsmooth You are so right. My ex-GF and I met them at a meet and greet. We thanked them for taking time for their fans, and Alex warmly shook my hand saying "No, not at all. We're only here because of you, so it's us that thanks YOU", and we got a few pix with them. (then my first time front row....woo-hooo!!) Neil is quite shy, but avoided crowds even more after his daughter and wife died, because some knucklehead would inevitably bring it up. Best concert and band ever!

  • @eqsmooth Well, they are Canadian after all. Politeness is in their blood lol.

  • @eqsmooth I've just discovered the Rush, not heard about them very much before, even though I'm an old-hard-rock fan. Which of their albums do you thinnk I should start buying?

  • @M3town33 lol"the Rush"! haha aren't you glad now!..good discovery bro! they're all good but check out chronicle's.....2112.....show of hand's....get the r- 30 dvd also for a great example of everything! Idk...too many choicess haha have fun with your new" discovery" bro!-

    Greg

  • @gregoir Thanks I've only heard moving pictures so far. As well as two or three tracks from another album. good band.

  • @M3town33 or just get it all on youtube! lol hopefully the buffering though, isn't as bad for you as it is for me:/ also..ignore about 89% of the comment's ..what the heck?!

  • @M3town33 Hopefully you are not mocking me. Permanent Waves, 2112, Moving Pictures, A Farewell to Kings, Fly by Night. Those are 5 to begin with. "THE RUSH", that's funny.

  • @eqsmooth sorry to break in haha

  • @eqsmooth Neil is hard to get a hold of. I have a signed copy of 2112 by Alex and Geddy, but never heard of Neil making any public apearances near Cincinati, or anywhere in this area. No shnangans, but Neil obviously had a curiosity of the occult, among othe things along those lines. It's in his lyrics and on his drums even. So besides that they are very down to earth, and I've never heared of them getting into trouble. Their alll about the music and God thier great at it!

  • @christopherb27 I could have sworn Neil was an atheist, totally inspired by Ayn Rand. I don't know where the God stuff can be found.

  • @eqsmooth I never mentioned anything about God. I said "God thier good at it" when I was reffering to the band's talents. I don't know if he's an athiest or not. All the radio interviews I've heard it wasn't brought up. He said he was inspired by a lot of things, Ayn Rand, cosmic forces, and even said The Trees was written about a cartoon in a newspaper he saw. I tapped two of them and will listen to them agiain if I can track it down, most are unlabled. I remeber one being very long. no music

  • @christopherb27 I did misread your God comment. Peart's record label (The Buddy Rich memorials) is named after one of Rand's early books, ANTHEM.

  • Comment removed

  • @eqsmooth It's cool. I'm on here to learn and spread what I know. Wikipedia and other sites can be misleading, unless quoted in context by band members! Peart credit's Rand for her genus on the sleeve of 2112. The book Anthem was the major influence for the album. A passage to Bangkok is obviously about, you know! Then Anthem was a song on Fly by Night. I have a lot of their Vinyl records, a lot of singles with b-sides thanks to my dad! I can't find Snakes and Arrow's live ORIGINAL recording.

  • @c I started listening to Rush, likely before you were born. Vinyl Lp's. I would say 1977. Started studying Ayn Rand before you were born. I've read almost every book she wrote & 3 biographies. I stopped listening to Rush & seeing them live before cd's were widely available. 1981. In '07 I saw them at Madison Square Garden. I was embarrassed seeing guys older than me puking in the bathrooms as if they were 17. all the balding, fat air drummers were annoying too. At least the band was good.

  • @eqsmooth Oh I was born in '81 so yea a before I was born at least. I saw my first concert when I was six. Yes at the notourious Riverbend Collusium. They were on their Big Generator tour. Besides pot smoke it wasn't that rowdy. Yea there's always people pucking, passing out, falling off chairs at any rock concert, and don't get me started on three day festivals. Look up passed out Wookies for a good laugh. I read a lot of Ayn Ran books in middle and high school, and still do.

  • @christopherb27 I could write a book of non-fiction books I've read and even more fcition books, some I would consider more tangable ideas than fiction. Yea 1984 is fiction, but it is based on human nature, and in high school our teacher put his butt on the line and let us read Catcher in the Rye, snoore. Also the Door's of Perception my all time favorite. You should go to a Rush concert again! It's a lot more tame than the ones in the 70's I'm sure! I saw them first on the Counteparts tour.

  • @christopherb27 Then again this time at Riverbend which is an outdoor stadium with a huge oning over the pavilon for the They played all of 2112 the song! Aslo the lst song was Cygnus X-1, a shorter version. Well behaved crowd (most people where just smoking pot, which even if you ovrer do you just stand thier staring at the stage. You should go check them out next tour, Did you see them during the Farewell to King's tour in 77? Or All the World's a Stage tour? They were both in '77 I think?

  • Hey @eqsmooth! I've just disovered Rush. Nice finding clips like these... pretty short though, do you have any gossip on them?

  • @M3town33 I don't think anyone ever had any gossip on Rush. Most boring "private" lives of any band ever.

  • Lmfao, my favorite part is the end.

    "......Do ya understand English...Move back..."

  • @FoxeyHound woulda" been fhilarious if he said"TAKE OFF!!!! YOOOOU HOSER"!!!

  • He doesn't get mad until the keg goes dry

  • What a jerk.

  • @MrArchfail I think you're the jerk dude.

  • I don't blame him at all.People are absolute idiots at concerts. They think because they paid to see a band they need to be 2 feet away.Same thing at any concert Ive been to,people are just rude, pushy, assholes.

  • mE DISLIKE......he was not mad.

  • 666 Likes? Let me be 667. Geddy, tells these gay bitches in the audience to fuck the fuck off, yo.

  • In nice Canadian speak "a big bummer" translates into "OH MY GOD IF YOU KEEP PUSHING THE STAGE IT WILL COLLAPSE AND CRUSH YOU TO DEATH."

  • even geddy mad and just talking makes me happy!!!!!

  • From the sound of his synth, it sounds like it was tuned to The Camera Eye, anyone follow?

  • @LeonSKennedy656 Yes! Nice catch!!!

  • "A Big Bummer" is about as irate as Geddy gets. One of the most well rounded and grounded people in the business.

  • He hardly gets mad

  • he needs to fucking chill

  • Didn't sound like he got mad to me... just tell people to get the hell back...

  • @JabaMan2009 The uploader is 21 and watches cartoons, and thinks his mom is mad if she asks him to take out the trash.

  • You have to lay down rules or be your own security guard when you play in front of that many people.

You want to be known for putting on a great show, not remembered for people getting hurt.

I think The Who's Cincinnati show woke alot of people up along with other things.

  • @gregboyds Nah..you got it wrong bro..our banks is why we are stable and have a real economy. You on the other hand have abused of Credit cards and all sort of credits. You people are spending much more than what you earn..I would say the World should take USA by force for al the resources that it took from all Countries by force...I'll tell you what we depend on the most especially USA..that is CHINA now go udecate yourself a bit more.

  • such a class act - all of them. He was not MAD - he was CONCERNED. There is a HUGE difference!

  • Anybody joking about Geddy being mad, please put "joke" or a smiley or something after your comment so people know not to take you too seriously, it's not always obvious. As for safety, he's right, safety must be taken seriously and Geddy handles it well.

I remember back in 1979 when 11 people died at The Who concert in Cincinnati, they even incorporated it into "WKRP In Cincinnati" (sitcom) as part of a memorial and calling for the end of "general admission" ticketing.

  • Geddy's not MAD per se - but concerned for safety! Give the Dude a break!

  • do you guys understand english? MOVE BACK

  • @gregboyds Only an ediot could talk like you.If we are Brain dead why is your Country enonomically dead...maybe because there is too many brain dead in your Country. Think about that one for a second and think about tha fact that Canada is the richest Country in the worls as we speak..

  • I dont think I would want to see Geddy mad...he's just being safe here thats all..

  • If that's Geddy Lee getting mad, a murderous rage on his part would be him walking around picking flowers

  • This is him mad? Imagine him jocular!

  • 51 people don't understand english.

  • How do you get 100 Canadians out of a swimming pool? Say, "everybody get out of the pool".

  • do you understand english.... lmao

  • i thought this was a joke at first

  • exit stage left...

  • That's the angriest Canadian I ever heard.

  • WOW! He had a total meltdown! I'll bet he felt bad about it the next day! HAHAHAHAHA!

  • @WiIdbiII

Probably before the concert ended he was like. "Gosh everyone, i'm so sorry for blowing up like that, here! free signed copies of our new album!"

  • @CCRockit HAHAHAHA!

  • And so, Geddy Spoketh untu the crowd and he said: "That'd be a big bummer" And so it was.

  • "a big bummer" - dude this guy should cut down on the foul language!

  • @Spyes23 yeah hes not hesitating to let his anger out here

  • @Spyes23 I know man. He's always overreacting man. I mean that "do you understand English" part I found a little snippy.

  • @Spyes23 haha my kids are at this show.. "its gunna be a big ff-shh-cunnn-BUMMER!"

  • a big bummer haha

  • He's so awesome. I do hope the crowd moved back in the end.

  • Real name.... GARY Lee.... his mom pronounced it as Geddy, though.....

  • @snapmode5 Actually, no. Gary Weinrib.

  • @AceKing47 My fault.. you are right sir... thanks for the correction i mean yea.. his name is Gary...woops.. my fault.

  • sounds like a Moog synth for a couple of notes.

  • LOL Do you understand English? MOVE BACK HAHAHAHAA

  • haha cuts when we starts to get saucy

  • title kinda gives you the wrong impression

  • Ya gotta love Geddy, he said it so nicely.

  • He's Canadian ... he never gets mad unless it involves Hockey.

  • @auroraman56

    he's jewish??

  • @DRDswimmer Have you seen his nose?

  • @rocker4ever11

yeah, i have...but, he is jewish and canadian

  • @auroraman56 LOL.

  • @auroraman56 *LOL

  • @auroraman56 hahaha true

  • @auroraman56 funny kid you are -.-

  • @SuperBassNerd3000 U mad bro?

  • @auroraman56 no

  • @SuperBassNerd3000 Then many pardons to you my good sir.

  • @auroraman56 Hey bro shut up

  • @woodsballpaintballer Mad bro?

  • asswoles make pastor GED waste his time your all goin to hell!

  • geddy wasn't mad,he was concerned(but he was being funny at the same time, haha),but if this was steven tyler he would had cancel the entire tour, haha!

  • @TATELANDDOG stfu troll, you know nothing about music(only a retard would say that they suck)people that know what real music is(li.e. me)knows that Rush is THE greatest.

  • Thats a funny nice canadian getting mad not a violent rioting vancouver loses to boston canadian mad.

  • OMG, Geddy needs to calm down a little bit. Next thing you know he's gonna start throwin a hissy fit over pictures and pull an Axle move. Seriously, what was the point of this?

  • @CthulhuForCocoaPuffs Are you joking?

  • @CthulhuForCocoaPuffs Yeah, he's so whiney. It's not like people ever get crushed to death in big crowds, especially not at rock concerts.

This is sarcasm, by the way. It even happened at a GN'R concert, which partially explains why Axl (not Axle) is like that.

  • "Do you understand English? MOVE. BACK."

    This made me laugh.

  • I love the random synth hit at 0.19, wtf is that about.

  • I have never seen a Canadian get so angry.

  • @Raidenko91 Not to say anything about Geddy but there are alot of assholes in Canada too you know. I'm in Canada and I've ran into my fair share of them people aren't nice nice all the time up here like everyone believes.

  • @electricchaos

Yep, Canada has plenty of psychopaths too, they just don't start rock bands like in the States :)

  • in this video you can see the diference between axl rose and geddy lee

if this happened in a guns n roses show axl stop the show and made a discourse with a lot of angry put the the microphone in the floor and finish the show very angry

But geddy lee call with very patience and continue the show after this with a lot of happy for play his music

  • Very decent the way he said that, I didn't hear a bit of anger. He and his bands safety was in doubt though and anger would not have been inappropriate. Class act, just like their music.

  • haha i don't think he's pissed

I think he was more concerned about the welfair of the show

  • "...It's gonna be a big bummer. Ya know what I mean?" lol Geddy, you crazy Canadian, you.

  • rush sucks UP THE IRONS FROM LOUISIANA

  • @TATELANDDOG Up the Irons. But Rush is just as good as Maiden if not better. Geddy Lee is Steve Harris and Bruce Dickinson plus a keyboardist, all at once.

  • @VideoMask93 wow dude i didnt know that. ill have to look into them if thats case. good looking out man. HALLOWED BE THY NAME \m/ -_- \m/

  • @TATELANDDOG I'll be honest, I was fully expecting you to lash out at me. But yeah, check out, uh, Force Ten for a good rocker. Subdivisions is more synthy, Tom Sawyer's a mix, and 2112 is beyond epic.

  • @VideoMask93

NOOOOOOO WAYYYYYYYY...rush is good but don't put down maiden. Thats comparing rocks and blue whales.

  • @shit2fly I wasn't putting down Maiden. I was pointing out how Rush is just as good.
