I used to sneak out of the house to go to the Hideout. The Underdogs were great but I also remember The Strawberry Alarm Clock, and many others. We (LHS) could be found in the back right hand side every Friday.
There were a few of us from Center Line St. Clement who would be in the back corcer that we called "Clements Corner". We never told our girlfriends we were going there(& they really wanted to go) cuz we could meet girls from other schools. Notre Dame High dances were a great place to go too. But the bands at the Hideout were better. Remember this? If you were "Sosh" or "Frat" you went to the Hideout and if you were "Grease" you went to the "Chatterbox".
Weird thing -- I never went to the Hideout though I was a musician in Grosse Pointe in the mid to late 60's. Saw so many, many bands -- and have this 45 by the Underdogs -- but never saw them live. My loss!
All of us in St. Clair Shores (Class of 1967 LHS!) are STILL talking about the Hideout, the Underdogs and the 'good old daze'! Thanks, guys, for such great memories!
Great graphic and photos.

The Underdogs played at my 8th grade graduation dance at St. Joan of Arc grade school. It was great - I'll never forget it.

The Underdogs and Dave Whitehouse--GREAT! How about "Friday at the Hideout" and "Little Girl", too?!

I still love this song, there is something so gritty about Detroit Rock. A great song.
