@JamsterTheOne If you use water you increase the chance of leaving streaks on the disk. I tried this with one of my PS3 games to remove a couple of finger prints and now the streaks are worse than the prints. If for some reason you have absolutely no choice then use bottled water or purified water. Straight tap water will make the streaks worse because of all the impurities in it.

this is why i like the ps3 games they are hard to scratch but a sony employee told me to get a microfiber cloth (like the one in the video) and go in a circular motion it gets the disc cleaner of all smudges but i guess both ways work lol

So, it's better to wipe the disk straight from center hole to the outer edge, err then what is the disadvantage of wiping the disk in circular motion if you don't mind?

alchohol is really good for cleaning disks cause i tired it on my mw2 disk cause it was very dust and alchohol is awesome cause it left my disk very clean and bright

Thanks I have a cloth like that that cane with my iPod touch but what alcohol does to Playstation disks mainly ps2 and ps3 not so much ps1 but it puts a wierd coulor coat on it on blue ray I don't know the coulor but on ps2 DVD it ads red to the disk witch on jap ps2s can read it's a form of reageon protecting

Whenever I've tried to clean discs I end up making them worse (I use a lint free lens cleaner cloth), so I just don't do it unless the disc is scratched already and there's nothing to lose.
