If i remember correctly, Forza 3 had a built in assist where it limited the ability to turn the wheels to a certain degree, which also prevents drifting at such an angle with rear wheel drive such as the top secret, these professional drifters are probably trying to just that and were failing because they went in expecting to be able to do exactly as they would in their own drift cars the very first go. Forza 4 has added a simulation steering option which seems to let RWD cars drift like that.
Not to offend you guys but Forza 3 is a terrible simulator and I think that GT5 has better physics in terms of handling and accelerating I mean these guys are pro drifters and they struggled drifting in the game while Tanner Foust is at league with these guys and yet he managed to drift a car in GT5 using a simlar wheel and real life knowledge. Forza 3 is a great game but has yet to catch up to Gran Turismo 5 in terms of physics.
@dacarfreak2000 the physics in GT5 are shotty in my opinion. i tried so hard getting into GT5 just because i wanted another racing simulator to play. i just always found myself going back to forza.

I disagree with some of the comments about drifting being hard in this game. It seems like I don't even need to tune 3/4 of the cars I drive and I can still drift it pretty well. In forza 2, tuning was a necessity for just about every car :/

just goes to show this game isnt very good for drifting. its a pretty good racing game. though, but i dunno. ive tried drifting with both the wheel and pad. its too easy with the pad and not responsive enough with the wheel. most racing sims i hardly use my handbrake, unless its mid drift for adjustments to the rear end. but in this i basically feel like you have to allways start the drift with the e-brake, other wise the tail wont kick out quick enough like it should

the guy is a professional race car driver/drifter in real life. the fact its hard for him to drift in forza 3 with a real wheel setup is underwhelming. One of the main reasons I guess though is cause forza 3 ingame only supports 270 degree of wheel rotation or so (NOT like real life) and if you've ever seen people drift in real life they turn the wheel way more than that.
gt5 supports full 900 degree wheel turning though, so people can actually drift the same way the pros do in real life.
it actually supports 360 degree , and they dont support it cuz microsoft doesnt allow the wheels that can turn full 900 degree on the xbox , so dont blame turn 10 for it , blame microsoft for that , if a g25 could be connected to a xbox 360 turn 10 sure would have put 900 degree turn angle in the game !
i dont see why they would develope a wheel exclusive to the xbox 360 , specially developed working together with turn 10 , and not use it to its full potential ? they went all out on physics that the hardware offers , they also have clutch shifting , so why wouldnt they put in the 900 degree angle if it was possible ? doesnt make any sence to me !

All games can use the 900 Degree steering option, its just that most people dont use it on alot of games because its harder to play, than if it was on 360 degrees.

The wheel isn't bad to use with Forza 3. Yeah, it was hard to use in the Alpha build (the one I played at AXF24), but they have been fixing all the issues. By the time the game ships that wheel should be great with the game, it sure as feels much better than the M$ wheel.

The wheel isn't bad to use with Forza 3. Yeah, it was hard to use in the Alpha build (the one I played at AXF24), but they have been fixing all the issues. By the time the game ships that wheel should be great with the game, it sure as feels much better than the M$ wheel.
