I remember listening to Rush - Tom Sawyer, while playing Asteroids at the Tumbleweed in Fruita when I went to FJHS. Graduated from Fruita Monument High School in 1985. It seems a little more hip now. It was a pretty sad little hick town back then. Mountain biking was only just invented.
I had the extreme pleasure of discovering Fruita a few years ago and have been back every year since. Blows Moab away, with so many awesome trails with new ones being developed every year. Between the 18 road, Tabaguache, Kokoppelli, and Grand Mesa areas you could ride a different amazing trail every day for weeks on end.
It's great to see wonderful things about Fruita. I currently am doing a townhome development there. I was born and raised in Fruita and it truly is an awesome place.
