GREAT video. Too bad the Tesla and Tango electric cars are still too darn expensive. Hybrid are a waste of time, still relying on multiple liquids to run. When u get into an accident, most of the time, your hybrid becomes a total loss, because it's too expensive to repair.

Not really 6073114 They made 2 huge mistakes ie assumptions. Come on Gov help the car companies. Thats the 2. Car makes DO NOT WANT EV's Period. They are much much lower "total life" profit margins since they are virtually maintenance free and nearly ever lasting.

Gov does not want EV's because it lowers profits for big corporations (auto makers) and reducesand eliminates the need for OIL the basis of our "dollar"

Thats why Chevron burries the patent for NIMH's and gov does nothing about it.

I agree with you there. I think that's why they're pushing the PHEVs over pure EVs.  Sure they're electric, but they still have an internal combustion engine. More maintenance, still uses oil. Sounds profitable, eh? I'd still take one, but a pure EV is what I really want.

Awesome Video guys. We might get hybrids but full electric from GM isn't going to happen at a price point the average consumer can afford.

We all know GM knows how to build it which is why I think the we'll bring out the Volt in 2010 is just a smoke screen.

We can keep hoping though..
