@dudsroa If you believe in what the Bible says, then you must believe that Jesus is God. John 1:1 says "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. " There are other passages but that verse alone proves that Jesus is God himself who came in the flesh.

The term "God" that was used to describe Jesus is not actually "God in divine nature", you could use the book "Philippians by Moises Silva" it's a book that can explain that certain verse which is accepted by the Catholics, Protestants and other orthodox Christians.
The book is explained using the original scriptures written in Hebrew and Greek.

Therefore, if that "godly" authority is given to Him, proves only that He is not co-equal with God the Father. But only because He was given the authority that He is proclaimed LORD, not GOD.

@thedecagon not all INCs are like that. But we do admit that there are a lot who are rude, and everything that's negative. These kind of people are either lacking in proper doctrine or have had too much of it. XD
Some Catholics are like that, too. They even call us "cults" or INComplete or Iglesia ni Manalo, and a lot more.
We just have to accept the fact that the division of religious beliefs divides the people as well.

Sya ay Diyos sa umpisa at syay naging tao at ganap na naging tao pero hindi ibig sabihin nun nawala ang kanyang pagka Dios. @tagabohol Actually, tama yang sinabi mo. Nagkulang lng sa info. I believe this is in Phil 2:6? The term "God" that was used to describe Jesus is not actually "God in divine nature", you could use the book "Philippians by Moises Silva" it's a book that can explain that certain verse which is accepted by the Catholics, Protestants and other orthodox Christians.
The book is explained using the original scriptures written in Hebrew and Greek.

@mamaritus The word you'd want to find is the word "morphe" (similar distinction). Jesus has the same authority to rule that God has, which by the way He received from God. Therefore, if that "godly" authority is given to Him, proves only that He is not co-equal with God the Father. But only because He was given the authority that He is proclaimed LORD, not GOD.

There, the Word of God was in the beginning. It's true. Genesis proves it correct. But did it say that the Word is actually Jesus? No. In the beginning God spoke, therefore, it was His Word. But then, He sent the Word and became flesh. When? It happened when Mary gave birth to Jesus.

It doesn't say the WORD of God was in the beginning. It is very clear : In the beginning was the WORD. Not: The WORD of God. The Word was with God. It does not say the Word was God's (word). It is a proper noun. The bible would not say a word of God is His and is with him from the beginning. It goes without saying. All God's words are His and His alone. The verse talks about the WORD.

@tagabohol So with that in mind, what existed before was not Jesus, but God's word. You can use the term God's LAW if you want. Jesus existed only when He was conceived by Mary. That was the plan of God Himself.
The term "word" in john 1:1 is not Christ himself but the "foreknowledge" or plan of god concerning Christ, lets read it again, in I pet. 1:20 that says,
"foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world,
he has been manifested in the last times for your sakes."

in verse 14, the Word was made flesh is that the plan about salvation was fulfilled.
INC people, give me another verse in the bible or any extra biblical scholarly work that in Hebrew or Aramaic thought "made flesh" means a plan was fulfilled.
The fact is, the context is that the Word is literally made flesh, that is, subject to death.

@dudsroa The passage in the bible you mentioned is about king Hezekiah destroying the serpent statue because the people started using it contrary to what God intended it to use. It was used as a symbol of God's deliverance from snake bites . If you remember Moses made that along with the tablets of stones. It was the Catholic church who destroyed paganism in Rome and Europe. It was us who destroyed their pagan temples and replaced them with our churches. Kau ang walang ginawa. Inutil kau.

@tagabohol correct the serpent was destroyed because the people started using it contrary to what God commanded on its use. Like Catholics. God NEVER commanded to make IDOLs in the shape of man or woman and accord PRAYERs to it. Now did HE my dear? See although the catholic church destroyed paganism as you say. Abay puro mag PINAGLUMAAN na mga gusali ang binabangit mo. Na GINAWA ng malaon ng mga patay na mga misyonero ninyo. Ano ba ginagawa ng mga MISYONERO ninyo sa Mindanao. nagtatago ba o sadyang duwag lang TALAGA o tamad. Kita mo naman maliit lang naman kami kumpara sa inyo inday.
