  • Thanks for your advise. I was a pupil of Knut, so I KNOW what he would have thought about such restoration pratices...

  • this is absolutuely OBNOXIOUS. I hoope he doesn't work in a museum !

  • @chappbe

    I think you neither know what you are talking about and that you have a very scholar knowledge of what restoration means. I suggest you to read something like "The restoration of painting" by Knut Nicolaus so that you can afford a wider consciusness of the matter. To achieve a good result a restorer needs to master both traditional and modern materials and tecniques, so that he can choose the best way to proceed from time to time. Don't think the old masters were always so fool!

  • @chappbe ;

    Yeah, sure you studied with him...everyone has a mouth online. Cowards.

    Actually, you are obnoxious sport..There is NOTHING wrong with the Pasta Fiorentina method.

    Though I am embracing the modern these days more and more such as BEVA film, etc..there is nothing wrong with the pasta fiorentina method, especially on lesser works. It is important to know and to practice.

    ..as was mentioned by "paviarestauro" .. embracing the old and new are important.

  • Congratulations!

  • bravi bravi ;-D
