@Crustenscharbap A UMPC simply is an ultra mobile PC, it has to run a desktop operating system. The higher end ones are all coming with 3g and SIM slots so you can use them as a phone, but this is probably the smallest UMPC you'll find, most are bigger and awkward to hold. These are just nice if you don't want a laptop, or you need something more portable in business.

This device is what I've been looking for all this time. I thought I was happy having HTC Touch Pro with 640x480 and Windows Mobile but that is still not the regular "desktop feel". This is the ultimate portable device ever. Something I can take to work, and play with it on the job, catching up on all my forums and everything. 8.9 inchers were nice, but still way to big to put it in your pocket, but Viliv has changed it all.

This video is now out of date.  There are HID drivers for the touch screen which enable the Windows 7 touch features. It still isn't a capacitive screen but you do get everything back that was missing.

I think these screens are way too small to do anything serious on them and I should know, as a Photoshop professional I often think that even my 22inch is too small. The fact that many people buy them, doesn't change the fact that these screens are just way too smal. "mobile" sized screens will be superceded by video glasses. The screen will only be used as another reference or as a pointing device (via touch-screen). You cannot make a smaller device without making the screen smaller. Video glasses will soon be the norm

Very false dude. even explorer.exe was re-written from the start. Windows 7 has NO VISTA PARTS in it, it has been totally rebuilt.

It is also much faster than XP on the same hardware. (2GB dual core 4GB RAM)

Actually Paint has been improved quite a bit for Windows 7 - lots of new brushes and new functions. Not exactly like the gimp but a vast improvement!
