I don't get it. You have a nice big turbo, but it only seems usefull for 2,000 RPMS in each gear? 5,000-7,000

@vdubjetta02 bigger turbo means the exhaust gas need to spin a bigger turbine and compressor. it causes the boost threshold rpm to be higher. stock turbo boost threshold rpm is around 3500+ rpm. turbo lag also more noticable compared to smaller turbo.

setup has 10,000 miles on it but before that i was hitting 7800 on the stock turbo as well. plenty people do.

I completly understand why you dont want to beat on the evo, i NEVER beat on mine! EVER! too expensive to replace anything that breaks! Besides no need to show off to anyone! right? We all know what an evo can do.

The car is completely stock with only a gt30r on it, and im shifting early because I wasnt trying to beat on the car.

why are you shifting so early? easily could be going to 8k with that turbo. looks a bit laggy and not that fast for what it is.

@bernB5 The stock bottom end isn't a fan of 8,000rpm, regardless if the turbo makes power that high.
