However, the game takes place over ten years after America entered WWII, so it is possible that the American intelligence service was crippled due to the capitulation of the UK as well as America running low on imported resources; but judging by the quality of this game, I'd say that the giant zeppelin monster came and ate everything. That fleet is big enough to take over the entire United States, do you honestly think they would let that just float on by our defenses? The public would be outraged that their home was under attack anyway, it doesn't matter if it's successful or not. If I heard there was an attack on NYC, I would be pissed no matter what had happened to the city.
