I was in a coma for 3 weeks , I don't remember a thing . I wish that I did , but I don't . I do remember having to relearn how to walk and move about .
I was in a coma for a week and was able to feel, hear, smell, but was completely paralyzed. I heard the hospital staff talking about how heavy I was, heard my wife beg me not to die. The strange thing is that I was not scared. I attribute my peace to the fact that I am a born again Christian. I did however have nightmares about the coma and had a fear of being in one for a long time after. I am glad for my faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and that he did it for me.
I was in a coma for a long time after being mugged and left for dead. I could hear what people were saying and struggled to speak and open my eyes but couldn't.
I was blessed to make a full recovery. Never assume those in a coma don't know what you are saying.
I always wondered if Elaine Esposito who hold's the world's record for a coma, was aware of what was going on around her. I can't imagine her going for an appendectomy in the early 1940's and never emerging from a coma for over 37 years before passing. How hard that must have been on her parents who stuck it out with her. Sad stuff.

Profound strory. I also was in a coma, and had awareness and memorable experiences. Glad you came back, and were able to help others find peace.
