  • @johnnyo032003 Yeah but this is a hand-built REAL supercar unlike the ZR1, and there's only 7 of them in existence. This thing would wipe a roadcourse with either of the ones you named, it's not about just power.

  • wow, 8.2 liters and only 600 hp? only 16 valves? wtf. why not just use a supercharged ls9 engine, and get the same torque, 40 more hp, and most likely alot liter being as though the ls9 is 2 liters smaller

  • @ken060693 Its because this is not just a performance numbers car, this is a high endurance race car (ie 24hrs LeMans) built to hold 5-7k rpms for substantial amounts of time. Alot of cars are built just to spit out numbers but not really perform. This really is a ready built race car. 99% of sports cars you buy in the US will not hold up under the conditions this one can easily sustain.

  • I like the Corvette C6, but I don't really like what Pratt-Miller has done to it. The body kit makes the car look stupid. If you were to hit a pothole or speedbump, the car would bottom out. I also don't really care for the rims on it. They look like they belong on a BMW or Audi. Not on a Corvette.

    You must not have watched the video or you would have noticed the automatic suspension height control system with the manual override for speed bumps and such @ 4:30. I think this car is badass.

  • Well, that I noticed. I guess that would be a good thing to have since the car is so low to begin with. I love Corvette's but I just do NOT like the plastic body kit on it. If they just put like a subtle spoiler on the back or a little chin spoiler on it, it would look okay.

  • Motorweek, you guys need to try reviewing cars the way where the actual driver actually gives the feedback while he/she is driving. A host just reading a prompt while the video plays is really boring. Try doing what Fifth Gear does in the UK or go crazy like Top Gear.

    If you absolutely want a Corvette, a ZR1 is just as good for $120,000.

  • Step inside of a Ferrari or an Aston Martin and then step into this or a regular Corvette and that should answer your question.

    Not exactly a secret that Corvette has always had a cheap sh!t interior.

    That is why it costs so much less than other cars like it.

    My problem is when you try to charge $200,000 and you retain the same sh!t interior.

    Yeah but one big problem...they DO change the interior. Maybe you couldn't see it but everything in the interior was covered in leather and that was a very different steering wheel from standard Corvettes. Most of the cost probably comes from the body work and the fact they do it all by hand though, pretty much the same as any exotic.

  • @venom5809 yea, but with this car, you have the soundin a of mean V-8, you dont have to worry about the transmission exploding (as in the GT-R).. and voidin the warranty on a $20,000 tranny. all the parts that make this vette are race provin parts. and they mention the extensive use of carbon fiber.

  • I'm sure they could take some cubes out of it, increase cylinder wall thickness, add twin turbo's and smoke everything out there

  • This car is so much more sophisticated then the ZR1 I think people need to realize that this car is build by a racing company and I bet that on the track it will reflect that heritage. I looks like to me that all that body work will make a huge difference in stability at speed as well as cornering performance.

  • it is expensive... but the interior is much much nicer than the ZR1, and the ZR1 should also have the rear wing, and some of the other aero stuff.
