06/double ear infection. Ever since I have had eustation tube dysfunction. My middle ears are constantly wet and click if I swallow or go to yawn. They do partially work when they feel like it. Is there a such thing as an immune response in the middle ear? If a doctor tells me to use nasal spray I call my insurance and tell them not to pay. Too many doctors I have explained this to and told them not to give nasal spray it doesntwork or help at all. I guess I'm going to live with this forever.

@MonkiMonkeyMonki Once in a very long while like once or twice a year I will let slow running warm water from the shower run into my ear to soften the wax in both ears. Then after getting out of the shower I get some peroxide and fill the cap to the peroxide and then pour it into one ear. Wait a good 3 minutes. You will hear it bubble and clean your ear then turn your head over and let it run out. Repeat on the other side. :)

So after a long day of searching, I finally found out why this video is so confusing for me.

Voluntary Tubal Opening. I can pop my ears without any of these methods, and am wondering if there're others out there who can do this too.

(The ability very quickly stops when i'm congested, however, leaving me with unbearable pressure in my ears, hence looking for this video.)

This is typical "Conservative treatment" (i.e. non-treatment). When my ear infection produced chronic otitis media with effusion (fluid in the middle ear), I asked about doing a 'valsalva maneuver', or gently blowing while holding your nose. No, no, said my doc: "That can push bacteria into the middle ear."

But after being near-deaf in my left ear, with constant 'fullness', I did a gentle valsalva, and POP my ears cleared.  Instant cure. See the 'nose balloon' videos to understand it.

Also breathe through your nose while using the steamer as well. Alternate between breathing through your nose and then opening your mouth and inhaling the steam. You will hear your ears pop eventually and your nose will start to run. Blow your nose gently after finished with the steamer. Use the neti pot before the steamer. Try both in the same evening. Why is this Dr. so quiet? LOL Yeah, what is it with that aweful looking bow tie?

Try using hot steam. Works pretty good for unclugging the tubes. You can buy a steamer at CVS or Walgreens for under $40. Spend 15-20 minutes a day with the steamer. Use a saline mixture like the kind you use with a neti pot. Inhale the steam and keep your mouth open. I have tried this 4 times so far since last week. The first time, I was up all night blowing my nose afterwards. A lot of mucus coming out. The last couple of times, not as much. The blokage though, does take time to clear.
