i love this pad xD i did a review on my channel and i gave it a 9/10(: the reason it wasnt a 10 was because the laminates kind of made it a little loud and it was kinda heavy.. but it is an amazing pad!!
@Drummaster13 You were probably looking on the products pad, but if you go to the store page everything has prices listed and you can place your order there :)
to everyone, i own this tenor pad and i can say that if you are going to buy a tenor pad, this is the one to buy. the tonal holes are a great addition and are correctly placed and tim is playing on a table changing the tone, if not on a table it sounds great. also, unlike many other tenor pads when you do sweeps and scrapes (whatever you prefer calling them) there is no resistance like there is with a rubber pad, giving you the closest feel to the real drum there is. so i highly recommend it
Actually, I think when he marched with the Blue Devils, they put the lowest on the right. You can see it in the video, "Tim Jackson Explains The Name Behind Quads". It's in the related videos box over there.
ehhhh...listen to the tone...the lowest I can guarentee isn't on the right...that's a weird placement. anyone who played quads for years would know that's practically stupid and hard to adjust.
To answer a common question.... the tonal sounds on the Tim Jackson Tenor are the same as those on the Standard Tenor Pad (see the vid) demoed by Brandon Zachey. The reason for the audible difference is Tim is playing on top of a coffee table (the tone sound is more pronounced when open underneath). As well, Tim is using a pair of Staccato Deadbeats which are not as articulate in clarity as opposed to a wood stick or acrylic mallet.
Xymox, you're some dope shit. Seriously, A+

I have this pad, but I know the waverunner version has replacement blue "aluminum" rims. I'm assuming that that's a color name, not metal?

@mukilinc: don't forget that sound quality on these videos aren't neccessarily accurate. It would sound different in person

maybe you should watch the video again.
to christiansmithalone: so he made a small little mistake with the spock placement in this video.... Who cares.
His career in the DCI and I&E world makes up for it.
