I used to race hydros spun out twice in the same spot, your fear then is getting run over and that is exactly what happened here. This was no drivers fault unless he overstreared it then only the driver will ever know.

This just goes to show why the Detroit Gold Cup is the best Hydroplane race of the season. I like Vilwock as a driver and a person, but I hate his sponsor of Qatar, kinda bothers me. Still has a ton of talent driving and mechanical knowledge. I still wish Hanauer would come back and whoop on Vilwock a bit. Lol

Jesus Montgomery (announcer) could you please learn some new words? Loose, loose, loose... maybe H1 take Brad Luce off the PA and put him back on the air. The guy has passion for the sport, and knows at least 20 different ways to describe a 'loose' boat ride.

@majorsmackdown learn your hydroplane history. he is a pos and that is why he kept cutting his boat in the turns. which in return caused madison to wreck.

@deucem123 umm...I am pretty sure Villwock can handle the pressure. FYI, HE HAS 62 WINS. He just got caught in a hole beacause of the short course, there was nothing he could do. There was nothing dirty about what Villwock did, it was just a freak accident.
