US election: A month of surprises in the Republican race

While showing Mr. Obama's approval ratings on certain issues is helpful, I think the issue of why they disapprove is more important. I do like it when the economist reports on American politics because they stay level headed and appear far less biased than US sources such as Fox and MSNBC

What polls are you using? National? Early primary states are probably a better barometer, since most of the campaigning is focused there and those primaries shape the rest of the race.
