interesting i went to the tower of london recently and saw this picture being 'mixed race' myself i was instantly drawn to this image. What i found even more freaky was that her name was of meclenburgh which is a similar name to my own but when i dug deeper her mothers date of birth is the same as my own. Madragana's distant perch in the queen's family tree, respectively 9 and 15 generations removed, makes any presumed African ancestry no more significant in Charlotte than in any other member of any German royal house at that time, and therefore that Charlotte could hardly be accurately described as "mulatto" or "African".
@Steadno , Still IMO, if there isn't DNA evidence, or proof that she was related to Madragana it's just a guess. I think a lot of the discoveries of African ancestry in people like Pushkin really fascinating because in his case it seems irrefutable, but that isn't the case here.

@HiddenBlackHistory that's right but what I've just said is that there weren't and still there aren't any black Portuguese Royals not as far as we know of there were moors and arabs maybe some Royals got their black maids/slaves pregnant but never came forward and since Portugal is a Country in it's own legal right they have all been European looking but this woman was around between 1744-1818 so I doubt her ancestors were black Portuguese she does have mixed race features though.

I still have very little reason to believe it, given that even if she was descended from a black, it was 200 years prior, and she wouldn't resemble anything like a black any longer due to breeding with whites. The story given by that genealogist also contradicts her recorded genealogy, and the theory presented by those who thinks she's black, as well as records from the time.

@MedjayCommander You keep telling me to do research, but can only cite racists who are alone in their beliefs as your sources. Since her genealogy is still the subject of debate, that means she is not part of an African line. And a single African ancestor, with several dozen white ancestors does not make her African in the least, even if she had said ancestor.
Whites didn't borrow much knowledge either. We developed it very independently. Don't downplay our contributions to society.

Tropical structures, sure, that goes without saying, but genetically, they could not have been black. All modern evolutions are just that. Too modern, too evolved. Ta Seti is predated by Catal Huyuk in Anatolia by about 2000 years, and predated by Sumeria by about 500 years. There's also little evidence outside of Afrocentric sources leading anyone to believe that they actually learned anything from Egypt. Nothing attributed to the Greeks has been found in Egypt. Europe was also an early region to be populated. It's been populated for at least 40,000 years, which is even longer than Mesopotamia. And Greeks and Romans were definitely European civilizations. They are both located on the continent of Europe, and the inhabitants contain similar genetics.
