In Deutronomy 28 the bible talks about blessings that come from "obediance",and even with the convenant Abraham made with God.

Christians are to have "life" in abundance. Jesus came to give ETERNAL LIFE, not lavish materialistic life. If Jesus came to make us rich, why didnt He ever freely give away money? Jesus gave away eternal life, not rubies and cash. ETERNAL LIFE is consistent with His mission (Mat 1:21) not money

Deuteronomy 28 was the old covenant system of rewards and punishments. You do not want the old covenant punishments, but you desire the old covenant rewards!!! This is greed. You claim the blessings of the Abrahamic covenant yet you cannot do the law-keeping involved to attain the rewards of law-keeping.

(1Timothy 6:5) - Godliness is not a means to financial gain.

You just answered it! Heres the difference. Christians desire Christ above (all) things. Christianity doesnt teach that you get Christ and ______. Christianity teaches that you get Christ. The believer is supposed to be completely satisfied with Christ (Ps 73:26).

But unfortunately some people who come to Christ for riches will not be satisfied with HIM alone; they claim that theyll be satisifed with lots of money.
