There are PLENTY more transistors where that came from! Hammonds are great organs sure. I've had 3 of them, but transistor organs are good too. I sure am glad that I like transistors and tonewheels and not digital versions of either. Although the guy that has posted the ' 2 bit 8 bit organ' aka The Chipophone has gotten me to wonder why anyone would ruin a good organ case. BTW those capacitors in that organ you just smashed could pay for a couple new sledge hammers. You trashed them. Oh' well.

Here were I live perfectly working ones end up in the thrift stores all the time, no one buys then even at $10.00. Where were you when they ended up in the trash compactors due to sitting on the store shelf for more then two months. Fact of the matter is, there is few organists, no one buys these old things unless they are a real organ like one that you pump with your feet. You would be amazed how many people would give you one for free.

I have made some search for "Philips Philacordia" because i'm very surprised that Philips has made organs (Perhaps also other music instruments as guitars etc.) I was surprised in that search that the real name of that organ was "Philips Philacorda" and not "dia" A thing is sure, your version of the word sounds better and more professional than the real name! It was a tube organ or transistor? I have found a portable tube version of the philacorda!!! What's the model of that Philacorda organ?

This is not history that's been destroyed, this is a Philips Philicorda that's been destroyed. One of the worse organs that there is, and worth absolutely nothing.

Last year I couldn't even give a 1969 Philicorda away. Left it out the front of the house for months, no one wanted it. In the end the council took it away for crushing and recycling.

Budding music educators really should stay away from crap horrible organs, you don't want traumatise the kids. :O

Purtroppo non tutti capiscono il valore di questi strumenti. Nonostante il suono giudicato "orribile", quel suono era alla base di una buona fetta della musica degli anni 60, e nonostante sia molto grezzo ci sono stati musicisti in grado di trarne della musica eccezionale. Comunque c'è da dire che stando alla descrizione del video quell'organo non funzionava più, almeno non hanno distrutto un organo ancora in buono stato... Quindi non c'è da prendersela troppo alla fine ;-)

I'm sorry, but this is funny. This isn't a valuable or rare organ, it's a cheapie, and has anyone tried to fix one of these once it's totally dead, as this one was? (That wasn't it playing at the start) These are impossible to repair, and there's not much inside you can salvage. If it was a Hammond, or one of those with a Minimoog module in it, and it was derad, it'd be worth saving or keeping for parts.
